I assisted at Mass today at St Bartholomew. Father Ricardo and Father Victor concelebrated the Mass together. Deacon Bill was assisting.

Father Ricardo confirmed that the standards of the Gospel are high. They have to be so because we humans aspire to be Christ-like.

He said that we cannot possibly attain this goal on our own. If we try to, we'll disappoint ourselves. The resolution is that we are a sacramental people. We must constantly approach the throne of grace, the source of living water.

He concluded the homily by quoting Pope Benedict XVI, saying that we are not made for comfort. We are created for greatness.

Thank you, Lord!

(LET'S PRAY) Hail Mary...
