They Know My Voice

Posted by Cheryl on November 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! John 10:3-4!!!

John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them,

and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

Song of Solomon 2:14 O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the

secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy

voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

The sheep know the Shepherds voice, and follow him. They trust him, they feel safe, secure,

joy, hope, encouragement, love. Keep in mind the door to the Lord opens only for HIS SHEEP.

How do we become his sheep? Trusting in him, John 3:16 For God so loved the

world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not

perish, but have everlasting life.

In like manner, our Lord continues to describe what every true shepherd of men has done and ever will do: When he hath put forth all his own, and not another's, blood, love, and grace for us. He compells us his sheep find security, but not pasture; and when he has led us into obedience and into thankful trust by the strength of his sympathy and knowledge of their need, he goeth before them. He is their leader and example; he shows them in his own life the kind of provision made for them; he shares with them the perils. The highest meaning, the only complete interpretation, of this passage is found when Christ himself is the Shepherd, who does summon from the old enclosure "all his own," all who have entered into living harmony with himself. And the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. Nothing is here said of "lost sheep" or of "goats;" these are all the "ideal sheep" of the flock, individuals who recognize the voice of the true Leader, whether pretenders to their affections or destroyers of their lives - wolves or thieves or robbers.

He loves us his sheep, his children. He provides all we need, and that doesn't mean all we want. A parent who gives all to their child everytime that child opens his mouth, really isn't doing that child any good. That parent isn't loving that child. Lets continue tro Follow the Shepard and not go off in our direction. Don't get out of hearing range. When he is talking it is always important.

Love,

Cheryl

THE SHEPERDS FOLD ON HIGH

When the sheep have all been gathered,

To the Shepherd’s fold on high,

And are resting, sweetly resting

’Neath a calm, unchanging sky;

When we look with cloudless vision

Stretching far and far away,

O’er that land beyond the sunset,

Where the morning breezes play.

There, beside the wells of water

From celestial springs,

Celestial springs that flow,

There the everlasting kindness

Of our Savior we shall know.

When our final march is ended,

And the last dread conflict o’er;

When the world recedes forever,

To revolve as now no more;

When the hosts of God’s redeemed ones

With the grand orchestral throng

Of the angels and archangels

Shout their hallelujah song.

There, beside the wells of water

From celestial springs,

Celestial springs that flow,

There the everlasting kindness

Of our Savior we shall know.

There’s a river that proceedeth

From our Father’s throne above,

Still reflecting on its bosom

His eternal light of love;

Oh, to think that on its margin

With our kindred we may dwell,

In a home beyond the shadows

Never more to say farewell.

There, beside the wells of water

From celestial springs,

Celestial springs that flow,

There the everlasting kindness

Of our Savior we shall know.
