TO DRINK OR NOT TO DRINK

Posted by Cheryl on November 4, 2015 at 9:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Whatever We Do Needs to Be To The Glory Of God!!!

Should Christians who are to be holy and set apart drink wine? Is there anything in the scripture that prohibits the use of wine? Is it a good idea? We do know that Scripture always condemns drunkenness. In the Scripture all pictures of drunkenness are not pretty. When people drink, they often get intoxicated and we see sin and disaster. Two examples and big examples are 1.Noah became drunk and acted shamelessly.

2.Lot’s daughters caused Lot to become drunk to commit incest with him. Belshazzer held a drunken feast and praised idols of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone. And in this drunken stupor he lost his kingdom.

The Lord also tells us our Body is the temple of the Holy Spirit:

1Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Our Bodies are bought with a price, Jesus paid that price. Why would we put something in it knowing it destroys the body.

Heart and circulation. Alcohol can cause high blood pressure (hypertension), which increases the risk of having a heart attack or stroke. It also weakens heart muscles, which can affect the lungs, liver, brain and other body systems, and also cause heart failure.

Before a person decides to drink or to continue drinking, he should be fully aware of the following facts about alcoholic beverages and their effects today. Regardless of Christian or not!!!

1. An estimated ten million problem drinkers or alcoholics are in the United States adult population.

2. Of adults who drink, 36 percent can be classed as problem drinkers.

3. In addition, an estimated 3.3 million young people ages 14–17 are problem drinkers.

4. Alcohol-related deaths may run as high as 200,000 per year. In two years’ time there are as many alcoholic-related deaths as there were in the entire Vietnam War!

5. Alcohol abuse and alcoholism cost the United States about $50 billion in 1975. That figure has risen considerably since then.

6. Between 1966 and 1975 the percent of high school students who said they had been drunk increased from 19 percent to 45 percent.

7. Alcohol is one cause of cancer.

8. Fetal alcohol syndrome is the third greatest cause of birth defects. It is the highest cause of birth defects in some areas.

9. Evidence exists that social drinking impairs one’s social and intellectual capacities. Rather than getting sharper, people who drink get duller (not sober).

10. Half of all traffic fatalities and one-third of all traffic injuries are alcohol-related. Whereas a person has the legal right to drink, he does not have the right to endanger the lives of others on the highway by his drinking.

A high percentage of child-abusing parents have drinking problems.

A relatively high correlation exists between alcohol consumption and robbery, rape, assault, homicide; and more than one-third of suicides involve alcohol. It lowers our Inhibitions.

Taxpayers pay $11 to offset each $1 paid in liquor revenue.

We know as God’s people we have always been called to a higher standard. The more responsibility God placed on someone the greater God’s accountability was.

I personally believe the Lord tells us to avoid it, stay away from it. We are to be lights in this world and by doing that anything harmful to the body, to our testimony is what we need to avoid. I don't believe we need to start battles with people over it. If you are witnessing to a lost person and they have a beer in their hand, don't talk about the beer, talk about Jesus, the cross, John 3:16, salvation.

Proverbs 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:

Proverbs 31:5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

Proverbs 31:6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

Proverbs 31:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

Proverbs 31:8 Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Proverbs 20:2 The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.

Proverbs 20:3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.

Proverbs 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

Proverbs 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Proverbs 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

1Timothy 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

1Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

1Timothy 4:9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

1Corinthians 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1Corinthians 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

1Corinthians 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

1Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

1Corinthians 3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

1Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

CLEANSE ME

Search me, O God,

And know my heart today;

Try me, O Savior,

Know my thoughts, I pray.

See if there be

Some wicked way in me;

Cleanse me from every sin

And set me free.

I praise Thee, Lord,

For cleansing me from sin;

Fulfill Thy Word,

And make me pure within.

Fill me with fire

Where once I burned with shame;

Grant my desire

To magnify Thy Name.

Lord, take my life,

And make it wholly Thine;

Fill my poor heart

With Thy great love divine.

Take all my will,

My passion, self and pride;

I now surrender, Lord

In me abide.

O Holy Ghost,

Revival comes from Thee;

Send a revival,

Start the work in me.

Thy Word declares

Thou wilt supply our need;

For blessings now,

O Lord, I humbly plead.

I WILL SING THE WONDROUS STORY

I will sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me.

How He left His home in glory

For the cross of Calvary.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me,

Sing it with the saints in glory,

Gathered by the crystal sea.

I was lost, but Jesus found me,

Found the sheep that went astray,

Threw His loving arms around me,

Drew me back into His way.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me,

Sing it with the saints in glory,

Gathered by the crystal sea.

I was bruised, but Jesus healed me,

Faint was I from many a fall,

Sight was gone, and fears possessed me,

But He freed me from them all.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me,

Sing it with the saints in glory,

Gathered by the crystal sea.

Days of darkness still come o’er me,

Sorrow’s path I often tread,

But His presence still is with me;

By His guiding hand I’m led.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me,

Sing it with the saints in glory,

Gathered by the crystal sea.

He will keep me till the river

Rolls its waters at my feet;

Then He’ll bear me safely over,

Where the loved ones I shall meet.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me,

Sing it with the saints in glory,

Gathered by the crystal sea.

How to Behave In All Situations

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Philippians 4:12!!!

Philippians 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

What is this verse saying? Is it contradicting itself? Please do not say yes, the Bible never contradicts itself. It is letting us know we need to know how to handle all situations. Paul is writing this letter, and is explaining he has been treated with contempt, in wicked ways, in awful conditions. He has suffered hardships, and distress, and, hunger. Paul also knows to be humble, and he knows how to behave during this time. He also has had time of fulness, friendship, and his needs met, and he knows how to behave during these times.

Keep in mind Paul had time in Prison, had went through some rough times, and never gave up on the Lord. He never cried out ok Lord this is enough I am leaving and going into the world I didn't sign up for this. He wrote what the Lord inspired him to write in prison. He didn't sit in there having a pity party. Remember when he was in Prison they didn't have all the Ambulance chasing, Liberal Lawyers looking to sue if Prisoners were being mistreated. They didn't have the watchdogs keeping an eye if they had all their rights while in prison. They had ground floors, chained, to the rock, food yeah what a joke, workout equipment what a joke, beaten anytime the guard felt the need to beat them.

We in this life will have times of fullness, emptiness. We will have great times of joy, and times of sorrow, we will have to learn to handle all times in the right way. This time here is very short, then eternity. Live for the Lord Jesus and you will not go wrong. As we see we will suffer trials, tribulations, joys, and sorrows, this world is sin-cursed. However after we are all done here it is so WONDERFUL to go home where no sin, hurt, pain, sorrow dwells, rather than sin, pain, darkness, evill will dwell for all eternity.

Luke 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Cheryl

A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM

The Lord’s our rock, in Him we hide,

A shelter in the time of storm;

Secure whatever ill betide,

A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night,

A shelter in the time of storm;

No fears alarm, no foes afright,

A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A shelter in the time of storm.

The raging storms may round us beat,

A shelter in the time of storm

We’ll never leave our safe retreat,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A shelter in the time of storm.

O rock divine, O refuge dear,

A shelter in the time of storm;

Be Thou our helper ever near,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land,

A shelter in the time of storm.

NEVER ALONE

I’ve seen the lightning flashing,

And heard the thunder roll,

I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing,

Trying to conquer my soul;

I’ve heard the voice of my Savior,

Telling me still to fight on,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

The world’s fierce winds are blowing,

Temptation’s sharp and keen,

I have a peace in knowing

My Savior stands between—

He stands to shield me from danger,

When earthly friends are gone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

When in affliction’s valley

I’m treading the road of care,

My Savior helps me to carry

My cross when heavy to bear,

Though all around me is darkness,

Earthly joys all flown;

My Savior whispers His promise,

“I never will leave thee alone.”

He died for me on the mountain,

For me they pierced His side,

For me He opened the fountain,

The crimson, cleansing tide;

For me He’s waiting in glory,

Seated upon His throne,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

Do Not Forsake The Gathering Together

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Why Is it So Hard To Obey The Lord!!!

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Let's take a look at what the Lord did for us:

He created all of us, and takes care of us.

He gives us beautiful things to enjoy; trees, flowers, animals, mountains, wilderness.

He gave his only begotten Son to come here, to this sin-cursed world, the perfect lamb of God, to spill his precious blood to pay our sin debt in full. He left Heaven, where no sin exists, perfect, he has no sin, no spot, no blemish, and bear all sin for us.

He was beaten, furrows into his back, his beard plucked from his face, crown of thrones on his head(did who ever get pricked from a little rose throne?), fed gall(stomach juice), striped naked, nailed to the cross, mocked, spit upon. Beaten beyond recognition.

By Him doing this we can know have a home in heaven free, no work, just call upon him.

What does he ask from us after all he has done:

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Deuteronomy 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Deuteronomy 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

After all he has done so many of us find it difficult to truly love him as we ought to. Some of us blame him for what others have done wrong to us, (since when is it a Perfect, Precious Lord's fault for something a sinner, a wicked person here in a sin cursed world does wrong). Some can't decide between Church and a football game, if thats the case you might as well watch the game. Sadly some can't decide between Church and playing WII and I am talking about adults. What if you had done all these things for somebody and they laughed in your face? It is a very sad place if we can't give our Blessed Savior 2 hours a week.

One day we are going to stand before him, see it is easy here; we think yeah no problem but what great shame when he is standing before us. Men, Husbands, Fathers, it is your responsibilities as men to be Spiritual Leaders so it be falling harder on you. Ladies unless your Husband is telling you not to go to Church, why can't you go by yourself?

AFTER ALL HE HAS DONE, AND CONTINUES TO DO, WHY CAN'T WE LOVE, OBEY, AND SERVE HIM, AND PLEASE HIM? IT IS SO SAD THAT WE TREAT HIM AS JUST SOME GUY THAT DID SOMETHING NICE BUT WE GO ON WITH OUR LIFE AND FORGET HIM.

Love,

Cheryl

WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE

Who is on the Lord’s side? Who will serve the King?

Who will be His helpers, other lives to bring?

Who will leave the world’s side? Who will face the foe?

Who is on the Lord’s side? Who for Him will go?

By Thy call of mercy, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Not for weight of glory, nor for crown and palm,

Enter we the army, raise the warrior psalm;

But for love that claimeth lives for whom He died:

He whom Jesus saveth marches on His side.

By Thy love constraining, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Jesus, Thou hast bought us, not with gold or gem,

But with Thine own lifeblood, for Thy diadem;

With Thy blessing filling each who comes to Thee,

Thou hast made us willing, Thou hast made us free.

By Thy grand redemption, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Fierce may be the conflict, strong may be the foe,

But the King’s own army none can overthrow;

’Round His standard ranging, vict’ry is secure,

For His truth unchanging makes the triumph sure.

Joyfully enlisting, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Chosen to be soldiers, in an alien land,

Chosen, called, and faithful, for our Captain’s band;

In the service royal, let us not grow cold,

Let us be right loyal, noble, true and bold.

Master, wilt Thou keep us, by Thy grace divine,

Always on the Lord’s side—Savior, always Thine!

I've FOUND A FRIEND IN JESUS

I’ve found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me,

He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;

The Apple-tree of trees, in Him alone I see

All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.

In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay,

He tells me every care on Him to roll:

He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,

He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

He all my griefs has taken, and all my sorrows borne;

In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tower;

I’ve all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn

From my heart, and now He keeps me by His power.

Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,

Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal:

He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,

He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

He’ll never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here,

While I live by faith and do His blessed will;

A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,

With His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.

Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face,

Where rivers of delight shall ever roll:

He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,

He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

PROMISE AND A PRAYER

Posted by Cheryl on November 1, 2015 at 8:00 AM Comments comments (0)

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! A Promise And & Prayer!!!

A Precious Promise;

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Luke 11:10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Luke 11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Keep in mind our Father is not a magic jeannie in a magic bottle. These verses are not telling us if you want a new car just ask, if you want a brand new house just ask. We are to be asking for things in his will, things according to his plan. Wisdom, peace, joy, strength, growth, things to help us in our Christian growth. We can also ask for food, and such. We see in verses 11-13 he is telling us how our earthly Fathers give us good gifts and he our perfect, heavenly father can do much better. Our desires should be what our Heavenly Father wants for us, we neeed to be on the same path. When we are most blessed is when we are serving him, and not serving self.

A Precious Prayer;

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

The rich man in hell praying to the Father asking for water, asking to send Lazarus to his brothers so they know the truth and don't come to hell too. Another perfect example that once we die we can't leave heaven or hell. Another perfect example that those in hell will be in constant torment and thirst.

DON'T WAIT AND PUT OFF THE DECISION TO FOLLOW JESUS ONCE WE CLOSE OUR EYES FOR THE LAST TIME IT IS TOO LATE. CHOOSE TODAY WHERE YOU WANT TO BE FOR ALL ETERNITY. ONCE YOU DIE NOBODY CAN PRAY YOU INTO HEAVEN, NO PRIEST, NO PASTOR, NO CANDLE, NO ROSARY BEADS, NO NUN. NOBODY ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THAT CHOICE.

AND CAN IT BE

And can it be that I should gain

an interest in the Savior's blood!

Died he for me? who caused his pain!

For me? who him to death pursued?

Amazing love! How can it be

that thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Amazing love! How can it be

that thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

'Tis mystery all: th' Immortal dies!

Who can explore his strange design?

In vain the firstborn seraph tries

to sound the depths of love divine.

'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;

let angel minds inquire no more.

'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;

let angel minds inquire no more.

He left his Father's throne above

(so free, so infinite his grace!),

emptied himself of all but love,

and bled for Adam's helpless race.

'Tis mercy all, immense and free,

for O my God, it found out me!

'Tis mercy all, immense and free,

for O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,

fast bound in sin and nature's night;

thine eye diffused a quickening ray;

I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;

my chains fell off, my heart was free,

I rose, went forth, and followed thee.

My chains fell off, my heart was free,

I rose, went forth, and followed thee.

No condemnation now I dread;

Jesus, and all in him, is mine;

alive in him, my living Head,

and clothed in righteousness divine,

bold I approach th' eternal throne,

and claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Bold I approach th' eternal throne,

and claim the crown, through Christ my own.

MY SAVIOR'S LOVE

I stand amazed in the presence

Of Jesus the Nazarene,

And wonder how He could love me,

A sinner, condemned, unclean.

How marvelous! How wonderful!

And my song shall ever be:

How marvelous! How wonderful!

Is my Savior’s love for me!

For me it was in the garden

He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.”

He had no tears for His own griefs,

But sweat drops of blood for mine.

In pity angels beheld Him,

And came from the world of light

To comfort Him in the sorrows

He bore for my soul that night.

He took my sins and my sorrows,

He made them His very own;

He bore the burden to Calv’ry,

And suffered and died alone.

When with the ransomed in glory

His face I at last shall see,

’Twill be my joy through the ages

To sing of His love for me.

When We Feel Apart From The Lord

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Psalm 42: 5+6!!!

Psalm 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

Psalm 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

Psalm 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

Psalm 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

Psalm 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

Psalm 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

As David is talking, (and as a True Christian) he is trying to get through a tough storm, a trial due to sin in his life. He realizes the only way to get through this trial, tough time is Father God. Nothing this world can give us or promise us will ever satisfy or fix properly. "To appear before the Lord is the desire of the upright, as it is the dread of the hypocrite". It is such a horrible sadness to a true Christian than to feel separted from the Lord, to feel the easy access has been ruined. When we commune with our own hearts we often get angry with ourself, stop ourself. We have great reason, and cause to mourn against our sin; but being cast down from unbelief and a rebellious will; this we should therefore strive and pray against it. David Is very sorrowful over his sin, and feels very separated from the Lord, he is crying day and night, and he knows nothing can ease the pain.

We need to look at David and be more sorrowful, and repent, and not go back to same sin as the dog goes back to his own vomit. How many of us would pray and fast for a day, two days and be truly sorry for sinning against our Precious Lord. Jesus, he who spilled his blood for each one of us, beaten, mocked, spit upon, and made salvation so very easy that a child can understand.

Do we have an attitude of true sorrow when we sin? Or is our attitude one of "I am not as bad as so and so"? If it is the second we need to get a true attitude adjustment.

John 16:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Cheryl

I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;

No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;

Every hour I need Thee;

Oh, bless me now, my Savior,

I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;

Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;

Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;

And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;

Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son.

IN THE HOUR OF TRIALS

In the hour of trial,

Jesus, plead for me

Lest by base denial

I unworthy be.

When you see me waver,

With a look recall,

Nor for fear or favor

Ever let me fall.

With forbidden pleasures

Should this vain world charm

Or its tempting treasures

Spread to work me harm,

Bring to my remembrance

Sad Gethsemane

Or, in darker semblance,

Cross-crowned Calvary.

Should your mercy send me

Sorrow, toil, and woe,

Or should pain attend me

On my path below,

Grant that I may never

Fail your cross to view;

Grant that I may ever

Cast my care on you.

When my life is ending,

Though in grief or pain,

When my body changes

Back to dust again,

On your truth relying,

Through that mortal strife,

Jesus, take me, dying,

To eternal life.

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Joshua 1:9!!!

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

As we read this verse the LORD is telling us to be strong, be of good courage, and not afraid. We need to remember he is with us always. I want to say when we worry we are calling God a liar. We are saying to the Father, I know you can keep the sun in orbit, you can sustain life on earth, you can answer prayers, you are omnipotent, you are omnipresent, you are omniscience, but I don’t believe you can take care of the problem I am having right now.

We need to be living for the things of eternity. That means we need to give our lives totally to Christ and live for him. We need to put Christ above everything and everyone else, in our life. Above our families, our jobs, our money, our possessions, above everything. Our Precious Lord has to be first. Learn to trust God. Birds trust God to supply there needs however God does not come along and drop the worms in their mouths. Trusting the Lord doesn’t mean we are lazy and indifferent, but it does mean we come to the point that we know that the Father, will provide what we really need. Trusting, and knowing he will take care of us no matter what we are going through.

Proverbs 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Representative Biblical references to "worry"

Psalm 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. (Ps. 37:1-7 - "Fret not yourself...trust in the Lord...trust in Him")

Proverbs 12:25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

Isaiah 35:3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Matthew 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matthew 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Matthew 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS

’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,

And to take Him at His Word;

Just to rest upon His promise,

And to know, “Thus says the Lord!”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!

How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!

O for grace to trust Him more!

O how sweet to trust in Jesus,

Just to trust His cleansing blood;

And in simple faith to plunge me

’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!

How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!

O for grace to trust Him more!

Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,

Just from sin and self to cease;

Just from Jesus simply taking

Life and rest, and joy and peace.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!

How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!

O for grace to trust Him more!

I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,

Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;

And I know that Thou art with me,

Wilt be with me to the end.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!

How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!

O for grace to trust Him more!

TRUSTING JESUS

Simply trusting every day;

Trusting through a stormy way;

Even when my faith is small,

Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting as the moments fly,

Trusting as the days go by,

Trusting Him, whate’er befall,

Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Brightly doth His Spirit shine

Into this poor heart of mine;

While He leads I cannot fall,

Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Singing if my way be clear,

Praying if the path be drear;

If in danger, for Him call,

Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting Him while life shall last,

Trusting Him till earth is past,

Till His gracious advent call,

Trusting Jesus, that is all.

HE IS THE POTTER I AM THE CLAY

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! He is The Father, We Are The Clay!!!

Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

This verse in Isaiah shows who is in charge, and who has made who. Often times we try and tell the the Father how it works. The other thing we do is try and alter scripture to fit our lifestyle, which NEVER works well for anyone. When we become his child, after salvation we have made that choice to live for him. We are his child and giving our life to him, this is saying make and mold us to how YOU want us. We are not telling him "Father this is how I want to be" that doesn't work.

Remember while we were in our Mother's womb he had started a good work in us. To those who never walked away who had the blessings of always being there that beginning had a chance to grow and develop. To those who had walked away we need to still grow, and develop but our Father will help us.

Start today if you have been trying to rearrange the clay let it alone and let the Father mold it on his own. Ask him what he wants you to do. It is never to late to start. It is however wrong to keep putting it off for tomorrow. These last days are getting shorter and shorter. There are more and more distractions, put them, and the non-urgent matters on hold and not the Father on hold. GET BUSY FOR THE FATHER....We were already suppose to pick a side....Hopefully it was the right side....NOW DO YOUR BEST.....GOD BLESS!!!

Isaiah 45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Isaiah 45:10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

Jeremiah 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Jeremiah 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalm 139:15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

HAVE THINE OWN WAY LORD

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.

Mold me and make me after Thy will,

While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Search me and try me, Master, today!

Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,

As in Thy presence humbly I bow.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!

Power, all power, surely is Thine!

Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!

Hold o’er my being absolute sway!

Fill with Thy Spirit ’till all shall see

Christ only, always, living in me.

I SURRENDER ALL

All to Jesus, I surrender;

All to Him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust Him,

In His presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;

Humbly at His feet I bow,

Worldly pleasures all forsaken;

Take me, Jesus, take me now.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus, I surrender;

Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;

Let me feel the Holy Spirit,

Truly know that Thou art mine.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus, I surrender;

Lord, I give myself to Thee;

Fill me with Thy love and power;

Let Thy blessing fall on me.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;

Now I feel the sacred flame.

O the joy of full salvation!

Glory, glory, to His Name!

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

WORK FOR THE LORD

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Words For Today Philippians 1:6!!!

Philippians1:5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Our Lord, our Father started making and molding us in the womb. He gave us gifts, talents, and when we discovered what they where we were to begin using them for his GLORY. They were not not to remain dormant until we go home. Some will say "Oh I can't speak in front of others" he is there to get us through. Put away the excuses time is short, get up, move forward and figure out what gift he gave you and USE it for his Glory....

Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

Romans 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

TO THE WORK!!!

To the work! To the work! We are servants of God;

Let us follow the path that our Master has trod;

With the balm of His counsel our strength to renew,

Let us do with our might what our hands find to do.

Toiling on, toiling on,

Toiling on, toiling on,

Let us hope and trust,

Let us watch and pray,

And labor till the Master comes.

To the work! To the work! Let the hungry be fed;

To the fountain of life let the weary be led;

In the cross and its banner our glory shall be,

While we herald the tidings, “Salvation is free!”

Toiling on, toiling on,

Toiling on, toiling on,

Let us hope and trust,

Let us watch and pray,

And labor till the Master comes.

To the work! To the work! There is labor for all;

For the kingdom of darkness and error shall fall;

And the love of our Father exalted shall be,

In the loud swelling chorus, “Salvation is free!”

Toiling on, toiling on,

Toiling on, toiling on,

Let us hope and trust,

Let us watch and pray,

And labor till the Master comes.

To the work! To the work! In the strength of the Lord,

And a robe and a crown shall our labor reward,

When the home of the faithful our dwelling shall be,

And we shout with the ransomed, “Salvation is free!”

Toiling on, toiling on,

Toiling on, toiling on,

Let us hope and trust,

Let us watch and pray,

And labor till the Master comes.

PICK A SIDE

Who is on the Lord’s side?

Who will serve the King?

Who will be His helpers,

Other lives to bring?

Who will leave the world’s side?

Who will face the foe?

Who is on the Lord’s side?

Who for Him will go?

By Thy grand redemption,

By Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side;

Savior, we are Thine.

2

Not for weight of glory,

Not for crown and palm,

Enter we the army,

Raise the warrior psalm;

But for love that claimeth

Lives for whom He died;

He whom Jesus nameth

Must be on His side.

3

Jesus, Thou hast bought us,

Not with gold or gem,

But with Thine own life-blood,

For Thy diadem;

With Thy blessing filling

Each who comes to Thee,

Thou hast made us willing,

Thou hast made us free.

4

Fierce may be the conflict,

Strong may be the foe,

But the King’s own army

None can overthrow.

Round His standard ranging

Victory is secure,

For His truth unchanging

Makes the triumph sure.

Chosen to be soldiers

In an alien land:

Chosen, called, and faithful,

For our Captain’s band;

In the service royal

Let us not grow cold;

Let us be right loyal,

Noble, true, and bold.

GRACE AND FORGIVENESS

Posted by Cheryl on October 22, 2015 at 8:10 AM Comments comments (0)

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! Do You Have Grace!!! Do You Forgive!!!

Unforgiveness viruses attack every friendship. Tensions arise, the wrong thing gets said, someone breaks their word, or says "my baby is cuter". Wrongs are done. Lies are told. Trust is broken. Since we’re imperfect people, we’re bound to have trouble with forgiveness.I think sometimes we put our spouse, children, friends on a higher standard than the Lord so when they disappoint us it is such a shock, we can't forgive. This is why we don't put anyone above the Lord, no one is above him. We need to remember just as people let us down, we also let them down.

Forgiveness is the virtue we most enjoy and least employ. There are at least two reasons why we struggle with forgiveness:

Forgiveness is not natural. That’s why it’s so hard to do.

Forgiveness is not fair. Our sense of justice wants to be vindicated. Most of us when hurt want to see the offender punished, we also want EVERYBODY to know what that individual did. We will even get upset with someone when they say "I really don't want the details that is really gossip or things I don't need to know".

Unlimited Forgiveness:

Of all the people in the Bible, Peter stands out as the most mathematical of the disciples. He was a stickler for detail, always trying to pin down the precise meaning of everything Jesus said. Being a numbers-guy, one day Peter came up to Jesus and asked him a question:

Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Matthew 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

We’ve all asked this question at one time or another. “How many times do I have to forgive this guy? I’m getting tired of it. Why does he keep hurting me like he does?” Peter may have been thinking of a time when somebody wronged him and he had extended forgiveness. But, this same person did something to hurt him the next day. Again, Peter forgave him. A couple days later, his friend lied to him. This time, Peter reluctantly forgave him but now he’s ticked off. Peter wanted Jesus to help him set some forgiveness limits. Peter wanted to know when it’s OK to say, “That’s it. You’ve messed up one too many times!”

Seventy times seven means there is no limit to the number of times we are to forgive someone. Actually, if you were to count, by the time you reach 490, you would be in the habit of continual and unlimited forgiveness. That’s precisely the point Jesus is making -- you don’t keep score when it comes to forgiveness. Like grace, forgiveness has about it a maddening quality because it is undeserved, unmerited, and unfair.

This is exactly what forgiveness is all about. To forgive is to cancel the debt. When we’ve wronged someone, and they choose to forgive us, they are in essence saying, “I cancel the debt. The slate has been wiped clean. You don’t owe me anything -- I release you from ever having to pay me back.” When we do this to others it is the same thing. One more thing, we don't keep reminding the person, "Hey Susie remember that wrong I forgave you for, that was big of me". It was forgiven put in the past and no reason to be brought up.

Grace is forgiving, and talking to others without the "high and mighty better than you tones. Keep in mind when we are in public people listen to us, if they are hearing us talk of the Lord, and you are being less than graceful to a family member, a brother or sister in the Lord, why would they want anything to do with the Lord if we sound like a miserable, abusive individual who claims to be a Christian.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Matthew 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

Matthew 18:24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

Matthew 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

Matthew 18:26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

Matthew 18:27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

Matthew 18:28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.

Matthew 18:29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

Matthew 18:30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

Matthew 18:31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

Matthew 18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

Matthew 18:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

Matthew 18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Proverbs 18:18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.

Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.

Proverbs 18:20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

GRACE GREATER THAN OUR SIN

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,

Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!

Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,

There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,

Threaten the soul with infinite loss;

Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,

Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.

What can avail to wash it away?

Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,

Brighter than snow you may be today.

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,

Freely bestowed on all who believe!

You that are longing to see His face,

Will you this moment His grace receive?

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;

Grace, grace, God’s grace,

Grace that is greater than all our sin.

GRACE! 'TIS A CHARMING SOUND

Grace has a thrilling sound

To each believer's ear;

That peace with God through Christ is found

Is news I gladly hear.

Grace first inscribed my name

In God's eternal book,

And grace has brought me to the Lamb,

Who all my sorrows took.

Grace led my wand'ring feet

To tread the heav'nly road,

And grace supplies each hour

I meet While pressing on to God.

Grace taught my soul to pray

And made my eyes o'erflow;

His grace has kept me to this day

And will not let me go.

Grace all our work shall crown

Through everlasting days;

The heav'nly home God gives his own

Shall echo with our praise.
