Psalm 69:13

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! Psalm 62:13 My Prayer!!!

Psalm 69:13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

As we read in Psalm 69 King David is is telling the LORD in prayer, and if you read the Psalm at all is is so natural for him to go to the LORD in prayer. As a child goes to his earthly father in distress David is going to our Heavenly father.

Sin rules on earth, but grace reigns in heaven. There is to each of us an accepted time, and woe to us if we let it get away with out any improvement. We need to wait upon the Lord all things in his time, and we have two choices wait patiently for him in prayer, and live for him. Or we can complain, whine, throw tantrums, and not get anywhere until his time comes. Which way is more acceptable unto our Father?

But as for me - In respect to my conduct and my feelings in these circumstances, and under the will of my Precious Lord; I will continue in prayer and wait upon you Father.

My prayer is unto thee I will in take no part, of jealousy toward others whose prayers have been answered. I give myself to prayer. I look to God alone. I keep up my devotions, I maintain my habits of Bible reading, praise and worship. I will patiently wait upon the Lord and in the meantime keep my light lit bright, and my testimony without blemish.

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Isaiah 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

2Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

2Corinthians 6:3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

2Corinthians 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

2Corinthians 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

2Corinthians 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

2Corinthians 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

Psalm 69:14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

Psalm 69:15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

Psalm 69:16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

I SURRENDER ALL

All to Jesus, I surrender;

All to Him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust Him,

In His presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;

Humbly at His feet I bow,

Worldly pleasures all forsaken;

Take me, Jesus, take me now.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus, I surrender;

Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;

Let me feel the Holy Spirit,

Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus, I surrender;

Lord, I give myself to Thee;

Fill me with Thy love and power;

Let Thy blessing fall on me.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;

Now I feel the sacred flame.

O the joy of full salvation!

Glory, glory, to His Name!

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

PSALM 25:10

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Wednesday!!! The Paths Of The Lord!!!

Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

As we walk in our covenant with God and believe the goodness of His heart, we become more like Him and we are drawn toward Him. Being closer to God exposes us to His favor, protection, mercy, and truth. We need to remember all the Lord's paths are mercy and truth and to follow them will never fail us. However when we take detours, u-turns, or rest-stops thats when the problems start.

Many actions of men can be good interpretations, but not anything like our Precious Lord. Only Our Lord loves like no other; it is a true genuine love. His truth, and mercy is a genuine truth, and mercy. You will never find his love, mercy, and truth in this world, or in a man.

The covenant that we have is through Jesus Christ and our testimony is that He is God and has brought to us salvation by His blood. Every change in us and every good thing that happens to us is laid out on the path of our obedience.

As we walk in our covenant with God and believe the goodness of His heart, we become more like Him and we are drawn toward Him. Being closer to God exposes us to His favor, protection, mercy, and truth.

The light of God and the light within us attracts us to each other; and for the lost to notice!!!!

I would rather remain in the care of our Precious Father, then to have everything I think I want monetary, or physically.

His mercy and truth keep me in peace and strengthen me to be able to live in this world.

Call on the Lord's mercy and truth. Draw near to him and keep yourself in His presence by praying and reading the Bible and crying out to Him daily. Be a Daily witness, give the Gospel to the lost whenever possible.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Psalm 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Psalm 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

2Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

2Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

TEACH ME TO TRUST THEE

Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul,

Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Oh my God, I trust in Thee,

Let me not be ashamed,

Let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed,

Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed

Show me Thy ways, teach me Thy paths,

Show me Thy ways, teach me Thy paths

Remember not the sins of my youth,

Remember not the sins of my youth

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth,

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth

What man is he that feareth the Lord?

What man is he that feareth the Lord?

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him,

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him

Turn Thee unto me and have mercy upon me,

Turn Thee unto me and have mercy upon me

O keep my soul and deliver me,

O keep my soul and deliver me

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles,

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

PROMISE & PRAYER for November 16

Posted by Cheryl on November 16, 2015 at 7:55 PM Comments comments (0)

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! A Promise & A Prayer!!!

A Precious Promise;

2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

This again like all of our Lord's promises are wonderful, and amazing. He is letting us know his word is given by him, it is not written by man. So when the world or some very confused *"Christian" starts with the nonsense "men wrote the Bible" take them right to this verse, if they choose to still argue let them walk away. We as His children are truly blessed way beyond what we deserve.

THANK YOU LORD!!!

I will not forget

Your love for me and yet

My heart forever is wandering.

Jesus be my guide,

And hold me to your side,

I will love you to the end.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,

And a light unto my path.

You're the light unto my path.

*if a Christian isn't believing the word of God I am not sure they are truly Born-Again.

A Precious Prayer:

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

When I read this it reminds me even more what our Precious Savior went through, even being separated from the Father. Jesus had all the sins of the world on him from all of us, so the Father couldn't look upon him at this time. This had to be the worst of the worst for Jesus. Yet we take our Salvation so lightly so often.

ALL GLORY TO JESUS

All glory to Jesus, my loving King,
He blesses me every day;
Sweet Gospel hosannas I gladly sing;
And glory now brightens my way.

Hosanna to Jesus
His blessings are wondrous and free;
i wILL praise Him forever
For He is so precious to me.

I AM marching to Zion, my home above,
The city of God in the sky;
Ere long I shall enter that land of love,
And sing while the ages roll by.

Hosanna to Jesus
His blessings are wondrous and free;
i wILL praise Him forever
For He is so precious to me.

O come and go with me to that bright land,
You all of its glories may share;
May join the glad song of the angel band,
And meet many loved ones up there.

Hosanna to Jesus
His blessings are wondrous and free;
i wILL praise Him forever
For He is so precious to me.

PROMISE AND PRAYER

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Weekend!!! A Promise & A Prayer!!!

A Precious Promise;

1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

What the Lord asks of us is not difficult. What he asks of us is good for us. He asks we stay away from darkness, fornication, wickedness. He wants us to have fellowship, take care of our body it is the temple of the Holy spirit. He wants us not to give any place for the devil. He wants us to forgive others as he has forgiven us. What is so difficult about these things? Look at what he has given to us.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

Count your blessings, see what God hath done!

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?

Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,

And you will keep singing as the days go by.

 A Precious Prayer;

Ezra 7:27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:

Ezra 7:28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

What a beautiful prayer Ezra is praying to the Lord for thanksgiving. I think we have lost a lot in our praying. We need to put more in our prayers, start by thanking, the Lord blessing him for who he is and what he has done.

Thank you Lord

I thank you Lord

You been better to me

Than I been to myself and I

Thank you Lord

Made a way

You made a way

You made a way

Out of no way

You made a way

You bought me out

Bought me out

From out of darkness

Into the light

You bought me out

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

The emblem of suffering and shame;

And I love that old cross where the dearest and best

For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

Has a wondrous attraction for me;

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above

To bear it to dark Calvary.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

A wondrous beauty I see,

For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,

To pardon and sanctify me.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;

Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,

Where His glory forever I’ll share.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Thursday!!! Be Of Good Courage Deuteronomy 31:6!!!

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

We need to keep in mind who our Father is. He is the King of kings, and Lord of lords. He is the Creator, the mover of mountains, nothing he can't do but sin. When we start to worry, panic, do all that stuff that upsets our Dear Father, our Savior, our Redeemer, we need to stop; to say wait our Father is a Strong Tower, he hung the sun, and the moon, there is nothing he can't do.

We worry about some real little things sometimes, things that mean nothing. We act like our Lord is a little weak nothing, WHY? That worry grieves the Holy Spirit, upsets the Father, and gives us ulcers, and hurts our testimony. Nobody has got taller from worry, gained better health, or wealth, got a promotion at work, or grown spiritually.

Look at the verse from Deuteronomy, and the following; and pray and ask the Lord to help free you from this sin. Let your light shine, and grow.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Matthew 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matthew 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Matthew 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

WONDERFUL PEACE

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight

Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;

In celestial-like strains it unceasingly falls

O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

Peace! peace! wonderful peace,

Coming down from the Father above;

Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,

In fathomless billows of love.

What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,

Buried deep in the heart of my soul;

So secure that no power can mine it away,

While the years of eternity roll.

Peace! peace! wonderful peace,

Coming down from the Father above;

Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,

In fathomless billows of love.

I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace,

Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control;

For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day,

And His glory is flooding my soul.

Peace! peace! wonderful peace,

Coming down from the Father above;

Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,

In fathomless billows of love.

And I know when I rise to that city of peace,

Where the Author of peace I shall see,

That one strain of the anthems the ransomed will sing,

In that heavenly kingdom shall be:

Peace! peace! wonderful peace,

Coming down from the Father above;

Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,

In fathomless billows of love.

O soul, are you here without comfort or rest,

Walking down the rough pathway of time?

Make Jesus your friend ere the shadows grow dark;

O accept this sweet peace so sublime.

Peace! peace! wonderful peace,

Coming down from the Father above;

Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,

In fathomless billows of love.

PEACE PERFECT PEACE

Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin?

The blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Peace, perfect peace, by thronging duties pressed?

To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Peace, perfect peace, with sorrows surging round?

On Jesus’ bosom naught but calm is found.

Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones far away?

In Jesus’ keeping we are safe, and they.

Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown?

Jesus we know, and He is on the throne.

Peace, perfect peace, death shadowing us and ours?

Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers.

It is enough: earth’s struggles soon shall cease,

And Jesus call us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

A REAL SOLDIER

Happy Veterans Day And Thank you To Those Who Served The Lord And Our Country!!!!!

2Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2Timothy 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2Timothy 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

2Timothy 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

2Timothy 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

A Missionary who goes out on the field away from family, away from all he knows, and serves the Lord 24/7. Sometimes not having clean water, food, and is in dangerous surrondings, and loves what he does for the Lord.

Those who serve the Lord daily, who aren't afraid of what the world will do. Those who have the Lord first in their heart, others, then self.

What Makes A Hero? What Makes A True Soldier?

Soldier Grey - Poem by R. K. Hart

The young soldier boy stood rain soaked,

In a battle torn, well-worn grey coat.

The coat was drawn at the waist,

With big buckled belt in place.

His coat slashed opened by an enemy's sword,

The result of an attack by the enemy hord.

His boots worn from days of marching to the flute,

They were once a blue coats boot.

He had few treasures the soldier boy,

A small cracked photograph his greatest joy.

He looked at his mother and father with muffled sighs,

And remembered warm pies, and Virginia skies.

His soaked hat and long hair hid a battle worn fear,

As he searched for sight of blue his eye had a tear.

And his thoughts switched from this time of war,

To his hometown girl and farming chores.

Instantly soldier grey was shaken from his thoughts,

Canon blasted taking life, brave young men distort.

Maiming and claiming limbs cutting men down,

Then comes a silence from across the ground.

Minutes passed then came a blue uniformed wall,

First the volley shot and the smoky pall.

Now a bayonet drove out of the smoky mist,

Driven to his shoulder and agonies twist.

Now wounded the soldier grey is down,

On a slush of blood and muddy ground.

He would see years spent in the enemy's jail,

Battles all in his past, no more of deaths wail.

At wars end and grey soldier broken released,

And his thought turn home yet his battle not ceased.

In the north he is still the enemy of old,

Staying out towns walking through snow so cold.

As southern accents as more frequent sound,

His foreboding slowly unwound.

Pats of appreciation on his shoulder,

Little by little he walked a little bolder.

Welcoming rebel yells as he entered home hamlet,

Kisses from mother, sister and sweetest Juliet.

For years he carried the scaring years of war dream,

Marry and farm only half the man that may have been.

But is his now down is the plough and the sword,

They say he has gone home to be with his Lord.

He lived his life considering the futility of war,

Peace his dream and he has it now evermore.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

James 1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,

With the cross of Jesus going on before.

Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;

Forward into battle see His banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,

With the cross of Jesus going on before.

At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;

On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!

Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;

Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

Like a mighty army moves the church of God;

Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.

We are not divided, all one body we,

One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.

Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,

But the church of Jesus constant will remain.

Gates of hell can never ’gainst that church prevail;

We have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.

Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,

Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.

Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King,

This through countless ages men and angels sing.

MARCHING TO ZION

Come, we that love the Lord,

And let our joys be known;

Join in a song with sweet accord,

Join in a song with sweet accord

And thus surround the throne,

And thus surround the throne.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

The sorrows of the mind

Be banished from the place;

Religion never was designed

Religion never was designed,

To make our pleasures less,

To make our pleasures less.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

Let those refuse to sing,

Who never knew our God;

But favorites of the heavenly King,

But favorites of the heavenly King

May speak their joys abroad,

May speak their joys abroad.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

The God that rules on high,

And thunders when He please,

Who rides upon the stormy sky,

Who rides upon the stormy sky,

And manages the seas,

And manages the seas.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

This awful God is ours,

Our Father and our Love;

He will send down his heav’nly powers,

He will send down his heav’nly powers,

To carry us above,

To carry us above.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

There we shall see His face,

And never, never sin!

There, from the rivers of His grace,

There, from the rivers of His grace,

Drink endless pleasures in,

Drink endless pleasures in.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

Yea, and before we rise,

To that immortal state,

The thoughts of such amazing bliss,

The thoughts of such amazing bliss,

Should constant joys create,

Should constant joys create.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

The men of grace have found,

Glory begun below.

Celestial fruits on earthly ground

Celestial fruits on earthly ground

From faith and hope may grow,

From faith and hope may grow.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

The hill of Zion yields

A thousand sacred sweets

Before we reach the heav’nly fields,

Before we reach the heav’nly fields,

Or walk the golden streets,

Or walk the golden streets.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

Then let our songs abound,

And every tear be dry;

We’re marching through Immanuel’s ground,

We’re marching through Immanuel’s ground,

To fairer worlds on high,

To fairer worlds on high.

We’re marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

Don't Be Ashamed Of Jesus

Posted by Cheryl on November 9, 2015 at 10:05 AM Comments comments (0)

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Monday!!! Being Ashamed Of Family, Ashamed Of The Lord!!!

2Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

I remember being young and feeling ashamed of my home, the fighting, and things that went on. I know someone who was embarrassed of his sister who was legally blind and looked less than attactive. I know of someone who was embarrassed of his mother who had horrible scars on her face and arms, he wouldn't go anywhere with her. Then one day he asked her where they came from. She rescued him from his crib when the house was burning. Sometimes the things we are ashamed of we really have no right to be ashamed of.

What about Jesus how often are us as Christians are embarrassed or ashamed of Jesus? It is bad enough to be ashamed of family, but to be embarrased of Jesus is really uncalled for. Christians should be thankful they are saved, and not be ashamed of that fact. If you are, you should think on what Jesus did to save you.

A soldier strikes Jesus across the face for remaining silent when questioned by Caiaphas.

They spit on Him, strike Him in the face, and pull out His beard. Spitting on someone was the lowest form of disgrace to a person in that time. Jesus endured a lot of shame, disgrace, and pain at the hands of the soldiers.

Preparations for the scourging are carried out. Jesus is stripped of His clothing, and His hands are tied to a post above His head so that the flesh of the shoulders and the back are stretched to the limit. The Jews had an ancient law prohibiting more than 40 lashes which is why Paul several times received 39 lashes. But the Romans made no attempt to follow Jewish law in this matter and Jesus probably received many more.

When the back of Jesus is bared and stretched tight, a Roman legionnaire steps forward with the flagrum (sometimes it is called a flagellum or cat-of-nine-tails) in his hand. It is a short whip consisting of nine heavy leather thongs, each with small lead balls, embedded with bits of glass, stone, or bone attached near the ends. The heavy whip is brought down with full force again and again on the shoulders, back, and legs of Jesus.

The half-fainting Jesus is then untied and allowed to slump to the stone pavement, soaked with His own blood. The Roman soldiers see an opportunity to make a joke out of Him. Here is a provincial Jew claiming to be a king, but was now barely alive. So they throw a robe across His shoulders and place a stick in His hand for a scepter. To make the travesty complete, a small bundle of flexible branches covered with long thorns are woven into the shape of a crown and pressed into His scalp. Since head wounds always bleed a lot, the blood runs down His face and into His eyes.

This is all before the cross. My heart breaks going through just a few things So why is it your embarrassed to say his name in public? Why are you ASHAMED do admit he is your Savior? Why can't you be in Church? Why are you too busy, too tired? Why do you mock them crazy Christians when they are standing on the street corner holding the John 3:16 signs, or the crazy relative that won't drink anymore because "Jesus said it is better for me not too".

Child of God, take the name of Jesus with you. Wherever you go STOP BEING EMBARRASSED, ASHAMED, WHAT DO YOU THINK JESUS FELT GOING THROUGH JUST THE ABOVE THINGS? THAT IS NOT ALL HE WENT THROUGH!!!

BE TOUGH DO THE FOLLOWING YOU WON'T SUFFER WHAT JESUS SUFFERED

* To pray in public.

* To speak His name in public.

* To carry His Word in public.

* To sing His music in public.

* To act and live like a Christian should act and live.

Why would you be ashamed to imitate the One Who saved your soul from going to Hell?

Why would you be ashamed to name the name of Jesus?

UNFORTUNATELY!

Many Christians today are not ashamed:

* To tell a dirty joke in public.

* To speak the name of God in vain in public.

* To wear a shirt advertising beer or whiskey.

* To act like anything but a Christian in public.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hebrews 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

Hebrews 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

Hebrews 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

Hebrews 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

Hebrews 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

Hebrews 11:20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

Hebrews 11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.

Hebrews 11:22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

Hebrews 11:23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Psalm 25:1 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

Psalm 25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Psalm 25:3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Psalm 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Psalm 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psalm 25:6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Psalm 25:7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Psalm 25:9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Psalm 25:11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

Psalm 25:12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Psalm 25:13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

Psalm 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psalm 25:15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Psalm 25:16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

Psalm 25:17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

Psalm 25:18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

Psalm 25:19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

Psalm 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Psalm 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

Psalm 25:22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,

Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;

It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems

Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.

I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;

And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat

What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.

I love to tell the story, for some have never heard

The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best

Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.

And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,

’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

JESUS SHALL REIGN

Jesus shall reign where’er the sun

Does his successive journeys run;

His kingdom stretch from shore to shore,

Till moons shall wax and wane no more.

Behold the islands with their kings,

And Europe her best tribute brings;

From north to south the princes meet,

To pay their homage at His feet.

There Persia, glorious to behold,

There India shines in eastern gold;

And barb’rous nations at His word

Submit, and bow, and own their Lord.

To Him shall endless prayer be made,

And praises throng to crown His head;

His Name like sweet perfume shall rise

With every morning sacrifice.

People and realms of every tongue

Dwell on His love with sweetest song;

And infant voices shall proclaim

Their early blessings on His Name.

Blessings abound wherever He reigns;

The prisoner leaps to lose his chains;

The weary find eternal rest,

And all the sons of want are blessed.

Where He displays His healing power,

Death and the curse are known no more:

In Him the tribes of Adam boast

More blessings than their father lost.

Let every creature rise and bring

Peculiar honors to our King;

Angels descend with songs again,

And earth repeat the loud amen!

Great God, whose universal sway

The known and unknown worlds obey,

Now give the kingdom to Thy Son,

Extend His power, exalt His throne.

The scepter well becomes His hands;

All Heav’n submits to His commands;

His justice shall avenge the poor,

And pride and rage prevail no more.

With power He vindicates the just,

And treads th’oppressor in the dust:

His worship and His fear shall last

Till hours, and years, and time be past.

As rain on meadows newly mown,

So shall He send his influence down:

His grace on fainting souls distills,

Like heav’nly dew on thirsty hills.

The heathen lands, that lie beneath

The shades of overspreading death,

Revive at His first dawning light;

And deserts blossom at the sight.

The saints shall flourish in His days,

Dressed in the robes of joy and praise;

Peace, like a river, from His throne

Shall flow to nations yet unknown.

Kiss of Betrayal

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Have You Betrayed The Lord!!!

Matthew 26:48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Matthew 26:49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Matthew 26:50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

Everyone reading this has had to deal with betrayal. Either you have been betrayed, or you have betrayed someone else. Probably, you have been in both situations. Maybe you were told something by a friend who asked you to keep it in confidence, and soon, it was over the whole school,workplace. Maybe you had an idea about how things could be done better at work, but the friend that you told it to used your idea. Or maybe the vow of complete faithfulness that you made to your spouse when you got married has not kept you from straying into territory where you did not belong. What does it feel like to be betrayed – to be abandoned? What does it feel like to have someone that you trusted suddenly turn on you? When we find out that someone has betrayed us, it makes us angry. It makes us feel vulnerable. Jesus knows what it feels like. It happened to Him. Jesus betrayal came through a kiss; Judas told the people wanting to arrest, take into custody, crucify. Jesus the man I kiss will be Jesus whom you want to take.

Betrayal comes at the hands of those who are the closest to us.

1. Judas Iscariot ate bread with Jesus that night, but that was not the 1st time. Judas had eaten bread with Jesus at Lazarus’ house and at Zachaeous’ house. They had enjoyed fish grilled over the fire on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. To eat bread – a meal – with someone was to indicate your closeness to that person. It showed your agreement with one another in lifestyle and beliefs. That’s why Jesus was criticized for eating with tax collectors and sinners and why Jews were forbidden to eat with Gentiles.
2. Judas was a highly trusted member of the group. That’s why he was allowed to carry the money bag.
An enemy can’t betray you. You expect an enemy to work against you. But you expect a friend to defend you, love you, and support you. When your expectations for these things are not met, then you are betrayed.
3. Jesus was aware of who the betrayer was. Why didn’t Jesus just single Judas out and tell exactly what his plan was? The rest of the disciples would have pounced on him and never allowed the sequence of events to happen.
4. Betrayal is in the heart of every person – yours and mine."The heart is desperately wicked. Who can know it?"

Judas, had experienced everything that the other disciples had experienced. He had been there to pass out food to the 5000 people that Jesus fed with a few fish and some bread. He had seen Lazarus raised back to life. He had seen Jesus heal the blind and the lame and the deaf. He had been a part of all that. And on the night of his betrayal, Jesus had washed his feet. He had shared the Passover meal with Jesus. Jesus had placed him in the most favored spot at the table – right next to Jesus. Judas had been a part of all the blessings that came along with being with Jesus. That night would have been a spiritual high point for anyone who was present there. And yet, Judas still chose to walk away into the night of his own sin.

5. Betrayal is not limited to those who have not experienced God’s presence.

Although Judas had been part of all these miracles he had still went ahead and betrayed Jesus.

Have you ever given the KISS of betrayal to Jesus or anyone in your life? Have you went to church on Sunday sang hymns of love, and that evening sat with the world and listened as they mocked our Lord used his name in vain? Even laughed at jokes mocking him, Heaven, and Hell? Have you betrayed Parent, spouse, Brethren, and then mocked as they sat broken hearted? Do you believe you are any better than Judas? You may be saved but your heart is just as wicked.

Our Jesus has went through the same and knows how it feels to be BETRAYED.

John 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

John 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.

Psalm 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Psalm 41:10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

Psalm 41:11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Psalm 41:12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

Psalm 41:13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Psalm 55:12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

Psalm 55:13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

Psalm 55:14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

Joshua 9:22 And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?

Joshua 9:23 Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen, and hewers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God.

Psalm 89:32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

Psalm 89:33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

HOW GREAT THOU ART

O Lord my God! when I in awesome wonder

Consider all the works Thy hand hath made

I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder

Thy power throughout the universe displayed

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee

How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee

How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander

And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees

When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur

And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze

And when I think that God His Son not sparing

Sent Him to die-I scarce can take it in

That on the cross my burden gladly bearing

He bled and died to take away my sin

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation

And take me home-what joy shall fill my heart!

Then shall I bow in humble adoration

And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

ONLY TRUST HIM

Come, every soul by sin oppressed;

There’s mercy with the Lord,

And He will surely give you rest

By trusting in His Word.

Only trust Him, only trust Him,

Only trust Him now;

He will save you, He will save you,

He will save you now.

For Jesus shed His precious blood

Rich blessings to bestow;

Plunge now into the crimson flood

That washes white as snow.

Yes, Jesus is the truth, the way,

That leads you into rest;

Believe in Him without delay

And you are fully blessed.

Only trust Him, only trust Him,

Only trust Him now;

He will save you, He will save you,

He will save you now.

Worship The Lord

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Thursday!!! Acceptable Worship!!!

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The Christian is called to serve the Lord, with his whole being. This sacrificial service occurs in and becomes worship. True worship includes many things such as prayer, praise, thanksgiving, and serving Him, by serving others. But above all else, our supreme act of worship is to offer ourselves wholly and continually to the Lord as living sacrifices. Till we give our body, mind and will as a living sacrifice to the Lord, our worship will not satisfy as it should, because we have not given as we should. Remember, it is in giving that we receive.

The joy and satisfaction which so many Christians lack can be received only by surrendering back to the Lord what He has already given to us. When we surrender our body, mind and will to God as a living sacrifice, then we can truly render spiritual worship. Now don't get me wrong we can have a lukewarm relationship; oh what does the Lord say about us being lukewarm:

Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Therefore, because of the mercies of God discussed in the first eleven chapters of Romans. The motivation, and reason we can do what the Lord is urging us to do is because of and by his mercies. What are some of those mercies Romans mentions? We have received grace, Jesus died in our place, we received been forgiven, justified freely by faith, been reconciled by Christ, given eternal life, given His life giving Spirit, being conformed to the image of His Dear Son, have Christ interceding for us, have His love poured out into our hearts, have all things working for good, and given His love that can not be separated from us. We have received faith, peace, hope, share in Christ's righteousness and His glory, and can call God Father because we are His children. What great mercies the child of God has received! Best of all none of this can ever be taken from us. We can't ever be taken out of his hand, he will never drop us, we won't fall, and never lose our salvation. We did NOTHING for salvation, therefore can't do anything to lose it.

The most compelling motivation for faithful obedient living should not be the threat of discipline or the receiving of rewards but overflowing and unceasing gratitude for the marvelous mercies of God. Such mercies should motivate and empower believers to complete surrender and commitment to the Lord

We need to use our feet to walk in His paths, our lips need to be speaking His truth and spread the gospel, our tongues tongues to bring kind words, and edification to others. Our hands to lift up the fallen and perform service as He directs, our arms to embrace the lonely and unloved, our ears to listen to His word and the cries of distress and our eyes to humbly and obediently look toward God. The Lord created our body for Himself and in this life, He cannot work through us without in some way working through our body. It is because our body still remain unredeemed that it must be yielded continually to the Lord, otherwise sin will reign in our mortal body and we will obey its lusts

We are commanded to offer our body as a "living and holy sacrifice."

How are you using your Body? Is it for the Father? Is it for your pleasures? Is it for good? Is it for wickedness? Have you presented your body as a living sacrifice for God? Are you willing to put your life "on the line" for Him so He can make you the Christian He wants you to be?

Give yourself to God completely. Why? Because of what He did for you. Truly, it's reasonable to give yourself to the Lord, to say, "I'm laying my life down for You, Lord, because You gave Yourself for me. You have great things awaiting me. And I don't want to miss any of them now or eternally." Such an offering is holy (set apart), acceptable and pleasing to God.

Ephesians 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Romans 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Cheryl

I GAVE MY LIFE FOR THEE

I gave my life for thee,

My precious blood I shed,

That thou might’st ransom be,

And quickened from the dead;

I gave, I gave My life for thee,

What hast thou given for Me?

I gave, I gave My life for thee,

What hast thou given for Me?

My Fathers house of light,

My glory circled throne,

I left for earthly night,

For wanderings sad and lone;

I left, I left it all for thee,

Hast thou left aught for Me?

I left, I left it all for thee,

Hast thou left aught for Me?

I suffered much for thee,

more than thy tongue can tell,

Of bitterest agony,

To rescue thee from hell;

I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee,

What hast thou borne for Me?

I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee,

What hast thou borne for Me?

TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.

Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.

Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.

Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.

Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.

Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.

Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.

Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.
