PROMISE & PRAYER

Posted by Cheryl on January 31, 2015 at 7:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful And Blessed Weekend!!! A Promise & A Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Our Father takes very good care of us. I do want to say two things here.

1. Notice he isn't saying will give us everything we want. People get made at God because they ask for money, houses, bigger job and it doesn't happen. They add wants to this verse, and it is not there. The Lord knows we we need, and will give us desires of the heart "Spiritual Desires". He also won't give us anything if it is something he knows we can't handle, or he doesn't want us to have right now or maybe never.

2. We are the Lord's he tells us we should have, and when we should have it. We obey him, he doesn't have to obey us. He gives us what we need, not all our wants. What starts to happen when you give your child all he wants? You have a Spoiled Child who begins to love the material things more than you, and throws tantrums when you say NO!!!!

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

2Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

2Kings 6:18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

2Kings 6:19 And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.

This young man's eyes were opened because the faith of Elisha. Look at what faith can do. Read the next two verses. The Bible tells us to have faith as a mustard seed we could move mountains.

LETS WORK ON FAITH AND SEE HOW WE CAN SERVE THE LORD BETTER AND BE STRONGER IN OUR PRAYERS.

I NEED THEE EVERY HOUR

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;

No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;

Every hour I need Thee;

O bless me now, my Savior,

I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;

Temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;

Every hour I need Thee;

O bless me now, my Savior,

I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;

Come quickly and abide, or life is in vain.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;

Every hour I need Thee;

O bless me now, my Savior,

I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;

And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;

Every hour I need Thee;

O bless me now, my Savior,

I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;

O make me Thine indeed, Thou blessèd Son.

I need Thee, O I need Thee;

Every hour I need Thee;

O bless me now, my Savior,

I come to Thee.

ROCK OF AGES

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee;

Let the water and the blood,

From Thy wounded side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure;

Save from wrath and make me pure.

Not the labor of my hands

Can fulfill Thy law’s demands;

Could my zeal no respite know,

Could my tears forever flow,

All for sin could not atone;

Thou must save, and Thou alone.

Nothing in my hand I bring,

Simply to the cross I cling;

Naked, come to Thee for dress;

Helpless look to Thee for grace;

Foul, I to the fountain fly;

Wash me, Savior, or I die.

While I draw this fleeting breath,

When my eye-strings break in death

When I soar to worlds unknown,

See Thee on Thy judgment throne,

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee.

Not Our Own

Someday you’ll hear God’s Final Call to you

To take his offer of salvation true-

This could be it my friend if you but knew-

God’s Final Call, God’s Final Call

How can you live another day in sin,

Thinking some day with Christ you will begin?

O will you hear above the world’s loud din-

God’s Final Call, God’s Final Call

If you reject God’s Final Call of grace,

You’ll have no chance your footsteps to retrace

All hope will then be gone and doom you’ll face.

O hear his call! God’s Final Call

The Patience Of Job

Posted by Cheryl on January 29, 2015 at 8:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Thursday!!! Patience Of Job; The Man We Read About With The Most Patience Is Job:  Job loses all of his children on the same day, all his possessions. Job was a wealthy man. He lost his crops, property, cattle and servants. But most devastating of all was when Job lost his children. However, Job did not blame God. He accepted that God had a plan and would be patient for God to reveal His plan.Job also suffered with sores and boils all over his body even on the bottom of his feet. He had to scrap them with a stone, keep in mind back then they had no sanitary cleaning cloths, soaps, nice clean creams for the feet. Job's "wonderful" friends friends came by to help by asking what sins he committed nice friends right? His beloved wife, his help, told him "curse God, and die. Nice lady his wife.

Why would the LORD allow Satan mess with this wonderful man who loved him so much? The Lord knew Job would continue to love him, and Job did. At the end of all of it he was given back his children, and cattle. How long would we have stayed patient with the Lord? How long before we would have cursed the Lord? Many curse the Lord over a stubbed toe. Many curse the Lord because they can't find something they misplaced. Many curse God because they have to wait at a red light. Next time you start cursing the Lord over something so petty think of what you have, and what Job had lost and ask do I really need to be cursing and get angry over this? Do my children, and lost neighbors need to hear me cursing because my snowblower isn't starting immediatly? Then think about missionaries living in the jungles of Africa who have to pray for clean water, and your cursing because you ran out of milk because you forgot it at the clean grocery store five minutes away. We have so much in America, and are so spoiled and get so angry at such little things. Wake up and look at how fast it could all be gone, and guess what all the cursing in the world, all the anger will do nothing but put a wedge between you and the Lord do we really want that?

Proverbs 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

Proverbs 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Job 1:15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Job 1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Job 1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Job 1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Job 1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Job 2:11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

Job 2:12 And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.

Job 2:13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.

Job 42:1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Job 42:3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

Job 42:4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

Job 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

Job 42:6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Job 42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

Job 42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

Job 42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.

Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Job 42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

Job 42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.

Job 42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.

Job 42:15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.

Job 42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.

Job 42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.

Cheryl

FORGIVENESS

Good Morning!!! Have a Blessed Wednesday!!! Forgiveness

How Different Joseph's Life Would Be If He Held Unforgiveness In His Heart Towards His

Brothers; His Brothers hated him, he was their Fathers favorite, they were jealous, they

wanted to be rid of him. according to Genesis 37 (when you find time read the whole

chapter):

Genesis 37:26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

Genesis 37:27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

Genesis 37:28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

Genesis 37:29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.

Genesis 37:30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

Genesis 37:31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

Genesis 37:32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.

Genesis 37:33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

Genesis 37:34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

Genesis 37:35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

Genesis 37:36 And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

How many of us would forgive our brothers after this? We are to forgive, we can remember but we are to forgive all things. If Joseph had kept unforgiveness in his heart, bitterness and wrath would he have been blessed by the LORD?

The world has many different philosophys on forgiveness some say get even with the offender. WRONG IN THE EYES OF THE LORD. Some say do something worse to them. WRONG IN THE EYES OF THE LORD Some say don't ever talk to them again, and remind them at every chance, and tell everybody you both know. WRONG IN THE EYES OF THE LORD. If you do these worldly things what makes you any different than the offender?

But in contrast to the world’s way, Our Precious Lord prescribes a radical approach when we are wronged: We are to be kind and tenderhearted, forgiving one another just as God in Christ has forgiven us. Our we better, more important than the Lord that he can forgive us but we need to hold on to unforgiveness, so we must be more important so when we are hurt we don't need to forgive.

Some of you are struggling with those feelings right now. Your pain may be from a situation that just occured, or it may go back many years ago. But if you’re bitter and unforgiving, you’re not obeying the two great commandments, to love God and to love others. Bitterness not only displeases God; it spreads to others, defiling much. I have known a few close relatives that held onto bitterness for as long as I was alive and it tore them apart turned beautiful people into very ugly bodies.

Joseph had to avoid bitterness and learn to forgive. He had been repeatedly hurt, but he didn’t develop a trace of bitterness. His own brothers had planned to kill him, but sold him into slavery at the last moment. As Potiphar’s slave, Joseph’s life is a classic lesson on how to overcome bitterness. He was faithful and upright, but was falsely accused of attempted rape by Potiphar’s wife. He spent years in prison and was forgotten by a man he had helped, who could have pled his case with Pharaoh. Yet in spite of all this, Joseph never grew bitter toward God or toward those who had wronged him.

We need to learn from Joseph, we need to let go, we can turn into very ugly monsters, and have many unanswered prayers, and empty lives by not forgiving, and holding bitterness.

Ask yourself the following questions.

Am I allowing God to be the judge of all. We must allow God to be the judge of all.

Am I humbling myself under God’s sovereignty, and realizing I am capable of the same thing. To forgive others, we must be humble.

To forgive others, we must speak the truth in love. We must believe that God is beyond good in all His ways.

Bitterness holds your soul in bondage and hinders God’s blessings from flowing to you and through you. Forgiveness frees you to experience God’s abundant grace and to make you a child of that grace even toward those who wronged you. God has not put anyone through anything He Himself was not willing to experience. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to save our Souls from eternal damnation. He came to pay our sin debt in full. Do we daily live for him? Do we please him daily? Do we ever offend him? Jesus understands, because He suffered much more than any of us ever could. If we will learn to submit to His sovereign goodness when we are wronged and assume an attitude of humility, honesty in love, and caring toward those who have offended us, we will grow to know Him better and we will understand forgiveness better. If your holding unforgiveness realize its not just for the offender your hurting yourself too. Your also saying your more special than the Lord he forgives all, and yet your so good you can't forgive.

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Hebrews 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Hebrews 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

Hebrews 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

Hebrews 11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

Hebrews 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Love,

IN THE HOUR OF TRIAL

In the hour of trial, Jesus, plead for me,

Lest by base denial I depart from Thee.

When Thou seest me waver, with a look recall,

Nor for fear or favor suffer me to fall.

With forbidden pleasures would this vain world charm,

Or its sordid treasures spread to work me harm,

Bring to my remembrance sad Gethsemane,

Or, in darker semblance, cross-crowned Calvary.

Should Thy mercy send me sorrow, toil and woe,

Or should pain attend me on my path below,

Grant that I may never fail Thy hand to see;

Grant that I may ever cast my care on Thee.

When my last hour cometh, fraught with strife and pain,

When my dust returneth to the dust again,

On Thy truth relying, through that mortal strife,

Jesus, take me, dying, to eternal life.

BLEST BE THE TIE THAT BINDS

Blest be the tie that binds

Our hearts in Christian love;

The fellowship of kindred minds

Is like to that above.

Before our Father’s throne

We pour our ardent prayers;

Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one

Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other’s woes,

Our mutual burdens bear;

And often for each other flows

The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part,

It gives us inward pain;

But we shall still be joined in heart,

And hope to meet again.

This glorious hope revives

Our courage by the way;

While each in expectation lives,

And longs to see the day.

From sorrow, toil and pain,

And sin, we shall be free,

And perfect love and friendship reign

Through all eternity.

FREE WILL

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Tuesday!!! Free Will

Even tho Our Father In Heaven Could Make Us Obey, and Trusr Him, He Lets Us have Fee Will; Our Precious Lord can do whatever he wants to do, nothing is imposssible for him. However just as us we want people, our children, our parents, our friends, spouses to chose to love us, and not to made to love us. When we look at cults, religions, we see how different their "gods" are they are given a laundry list of what to do, and they had better do them or in many cases death comes. Sadly they are blinded by this.

The Lord tells us what he would have us to do, what to stay away from, but he gives us a free will, we are not going to be beheaded if we don't do it. Keep in mind the things he has done, and continues to do, and how much he loves us and I believe what he is telling us to do isn't grievous to do for him.

King Rehoboam “did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the Lord”. Similarly, the ultimate reason Zedekiah “did evil in the eyes of the Lord” and “did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet” was because he became “stiff-necked and hardened his heart and would not turn to the Lord. And the reason Jerusalem had degenerated to such a low moral point during the time of Jeremiah, according to the Bible, was because God’s people had “stubborn and rebellious hearts” and had “turned aside and gone away” from the Lord. The Bible is as clear as it could be in teaching that humans have the capacity to dodge God’s will, at least to some degree. Eventually the disaster of doing it our way will come crashing through.

Remember when we look to ourself, and or the world for solutions, answers, or to be in the modern way of things our free will isn't is as special as we once thought it to be. As said before it is special to parents, children, grandparents, and to the Lord when we have free will and freely love, and devote our love, and life to family, children, spouses, to the Lord, and don't complain, talk under our breath of how much we despise this messed up place we are at. The Lord wasn't forced into loving us, why is it often we have to be made to feel guilty to be in his word, in fellowship, in prayer with our precious Lord. Why is it often times to we dread going to Church, read His word, pray and talk with him. He needs to be Lord of our life and as much as we enjoy the Television, things of the world, we need to enjoy time with the Lord much more.

Deuteronomy 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

Deuteronomy 30:12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

Deuteronomy 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

Deuteronomy 30:16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Deuteronomy 30:17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

Deuteronomy 30:18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Deuteronomy 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Jeremiah 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

Jeremiah 5:23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

Jeremiah 5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Jeremiah 5:25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

2Chronicles 36:10 And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

2Chronicles 36:11 Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

2Chronicles 36:12 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.

2Chronicles 36:13 And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.

2Chronicles 36:14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

2Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Proverbs 16:8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

Proverbs 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Proverbs 16:10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.

Proverbs 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag are his work.

OH HOW I LOVE JESUS

There is a name I love to hear,

I love to sing its worth;

it sounds like music in my ear,

the sweetest name on earth.

O how I love Jesus,

O how I love Jesus,

O how I love Jesus,

because he first loved me!

It tells me of a Savior's love,

who died to set me free;

it tells me of his precious blood,

the sinner's perfect plea.

There is a name I love to hear,

I love to sing its worth;

it sounds like music in my ear,

the sweetest name on earth.

O how I love Jesus,

O how I love Jesus,

O how I love Jesus,

because he first loved me!

It tells me of a Savior's love,

who died to set me free;

it tells me of his precious blood,

the sinner's perfect plea.

It tells of one whose loving heart

can feel my deepest woe;

who in each sorrow bears a part

that none can bear below.

It tells of one whose loving heart

can feel my deepest woe;

who in each sorrow bears a part

that none can bear below.

There is a name I love to hear,

I love to sing its worth;

it sounds like music in my ear,

the sweetest name on earth.

O how I love Jesus,

O how I love Jesus,

the sinner's perfect plea.

THY LOVING-KINDNESS

Thy loving-kindness, Lord, I sing,

Of grace and life the sacred spring—

In blood o’erflowing, rich and free,

In loving-kindness shed for me.

Loving-kindness, loving-kindness,

His loving-kindness, oh, how free!

I to Thy mercy seat repair,

And find Thy loving-kindness there;

And when to Thy sweet Word I go,

Thy loving-kindness there I know.

Each evening from the world apart,

Thy loving-kindness cheers my heart;

And when the day salutes my eyes,

Thy loving-kindness doth arise.

Lord, from the moment of my birth,

I’ve nothing known but love on earth;

By day, by night, where’er I be,

Thy loving-kindness follows me.

From daily sin and daily woe,

Thy loving-kindness saves me now;

And I will praise, for sins forgiven,

Thy loving-kindness, all, in Heaven.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Posted by Cheryl on January 26, 2015 at 8:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Day!!! Fearfully and Wonderfully Made; In Psalm 139 David Is Thanking The Lord For How He Is Made:   People who believe in evolution need to take a look at the body. This body and its workings didn't just burst into happening. The human body down to its tiniest cell, reveals that we are fearfully, and wonderfully made. It also speaks volumes of the mind of our creator.

The human brain is also an amazing organ, fearfully and wonderfully made. It has the ability to learn, reason, and control so many automatic functions of the body such as heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing, and to maintain balance to walk, run, stand, and sit, all while concentrating on something else. The brain also has an amazing ability to adapt. I had seen an article where in an experiment, people put on glasses that made the world seem upside down, their brains quickly reinterpreted the information they were being given to perceive the world as “right-side-up.” When others were blindfolded for long periods of time, the “vision center” of the brain soon began to be used for other functions. When people move to a house near a railroad, soon the sound of the trains is filtered out by their brains, and they lose conscious thought of the noise.

Consider the single fertilized cell of a newly conceived human life. From that one cell within the womb develop all the different kinds of tissues, organs, and systems, all working together at just the right time in an amazingly coordinated process. An example is the hole in the septum between the two ventricles in the heart of the newborn infant. This hole closes up at exactly the right time during the birth process to allow for the oxygenation of the blood from the lungs, which does not occur while the baby is in the womb and is receiving oxygen through the umbilical cord. How can people say this all began from a big bang, a soup, or evolution?

Then people out there can say this new developing life can be removed at any time because they were ready for sex but not ready for a child a child fearfully, and wonderfully made. The Lord looks at all life as important, these little babies no matter at what point of development in the womb is important and the Lord gives NOBODY permission to remove them.

Furthermore, the body’s immune system is able to fight off so many enemies and restore itself from the smallest repair (even repairing bad portions of DNA) to the largest (mending bones and recovering from major accidents). Yes, there are diseases that will eventually overcome the body as we age, but we have no idea how many times through a lifetime that our immune systems have saved us from certain death.Look at things over the years that we come in contact with and many times have no clue what we have come in contact with.

The function of the digestive tract and the related organs, the longevity of the heart, the formation and function of nerves and of blood vessels, the cleansing of the blood through the kidneys, the complexity of the inner and middle ear, the sense of taste and smell, and so many other things we barely understand each one is a marvel and beyond man’s ability to duplicate. Truly, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. How grateful we are to know the Creator through His Son, Jesus Christ and to marvel not only at His knowledge but also at His love for us. It is amazing to me that people can look at a tiny new baby and still say there is no God, they are truly fooling themselves and are being ignorant on purpose. Look at the flowers so intricately painted, the beautiful trees and how they can stand for over a hundred years, the waters of the lakes, rivers, and seas. How did they just burst into being?

Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Psalm 139:15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Psalm 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Psalm 139:17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Psalm 139:18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Psalm 139:19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

Psalm 139:20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Psalm 139:21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

Psalm 139:22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Psalm 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Jeremiah 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Psalm 71:5 For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

Psalm 71:6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

Psalm 71:7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

Psalm 71:8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

PROMISE & PRAYER Jan 25

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Sunday!!! A Promise And A Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

We see here the Lord giving his word, Jesus is the only mediator. There is one God, we have no reason to be praying unto anyone else. Not only any reason to be praying unto anyone else, we are not suppose to be praying to anyone else, living, or dead. There also is no reason to be taking our sins, confessions to any man, Priest, Pastors and asking them to go to the Lord for us, we go to the Lord ourself for ourself. The Lord always gives us the truth, so who should we believe a man, or the Lord? We also see the Lord God would have ALL be saved, no matter what each one of us did he would have all come before him for salvation. The Lord is so Wonderful, so Good, full of grace, mercy, and longsuffering.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

We have another witness of hell, and someone who had all he wanted in his life and felt no need for the LORD. His love was for money, riches, the world, he rejected the LORD. It is sad because often times this is reality if someone has all they want they reject the Lord, they fall in love with riches often times loving the world more than even their own family. The beggar who could have hated bitterly, he was blind, no place to sleep but the hard street, had to eat what the dogs left behind didn't reject the LORD. How often when our life is running smooth do we forget our Precious Lord? If we are saved we are still saved but we will suffer loss. However if we are not saved we will suffer the torments of hell for all eternity for rejecting Jesus Christ, and what he did on the Cross.

THERE'S ROOM AT THE CROSS FOR YOU

The cross upon which Jesus died

Is a shelter in which we can hide

And its grace so free is sufficient for me

And deep is its fountain as wide as the sea.

There's room at the cross for you

There's room at the cross for you

Though millions have come, there's still room for one

Yes there's room at the cross for you.

Though millions have found him a friend

And have turned from the sins they have sinned

The Savior still waits to open the gates

And welcome a sinner before it's too late.

There's room at the cross for you

There's room at the cross for you

Though millions have come, there's still room for one

Yes there's room at the cross for you.

The hand of my Savior is strong

And the love of my Savior is long

Through sunshine or rain, through loss or in gain,

The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain.

There's room at the cross for you

There's room at the cross for you

Though millions have come, there's still room for one

Yes there's room at the cross for you.

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

The emblem of suffering and shame;

And I love that old cross where the dearest and best

For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

Has a wondrous attraction for me;

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above

To bear it to dark Calvary.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

A wondrous beauty I see,

For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,

To pardon and sanctify me.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;

Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,

Where His glory forever I’ll share.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful And Blessed Weekend!!! Promise And A Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We are so blessed as Children of the God, the King of kings, and Lord of lords. We are saved but still in this sinful flesh and yet he still allows us to come before his Holy Throne, and ask things of him, he listens and some he answers, some we have to be patient, and some he doesn't give to us. He knows more of what we need than we do. He is so Wonderful ALL THE TIME!!!! HOWEVER he is with us all the Time

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

1Samuel 2:1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

1Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

1Samuel 2:3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

1Samuel 2:4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

1Samuel 2:5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

1Samuel 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

1Samuel 2:7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

1Samuel 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

1Samuel 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

1Samuel 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Here we see Hannah praying thanksgiving to to LORD. Praising him, and thanking him. How often do we do this? This is so important to sometimes get on our knees and just than and praise our Precious Father. We get in the habit of going before his Holy Throne just for requests, and never take the time to just go there to praise and thank him. How would the parents out there feel if the only time your children talk to you is because they need something? How would it feel when they come to you and say I just want to say I love you and Thank you for all you do. My Children have done that and I can't begin to explain the love, and gratefulness I feel.

THINK ABOUT MAKING TIME EACH DAY JUST TO PRAISE AND THANK THE LORD WITHOUT ASKING FOR THINGS!!!

DARE TO BE A DANIEL

Standing by a purpose true,

Heeding God’s command,

Honor them, the faithful few!

All hail to Daniel’s band!

Dare to be a Daniel,

Dare to stand alone!

Dare to have a purpose firm!

Dare to make it known.

Many mighty men are lost

Daring not to stand,

Who for God had been a host

By joining Daniel’s band.

Dare to be a Daniel,

Dare to stand alone!

Dare to have a purpose firm!

Dare to make it known.

Many giants, great and tall,

Stalking through the land,

Headlong to the earth would fall,

If met by Daniel’s band.

Dare to be a Daniel,

Dare to stand alone!

Dare to have a purpose firm!

Dare to make it known.

Hold the Gospel banner high!

On to vict’ry grand!

Satan and his hosts defy,

And shout for Daniel’s band.

Dare to be a Daniel,

Dare to stand alone!

Dare to have a purpose firm!

Dare to make it known.

THERE IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOOD

There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel’s veins;

And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.

Lose all their guilty stains, lose all their guilty stains;

And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day;

And there have I, though vile as he, washed all my sins away.

Washed all my sins away, washed all my sins away;

And there have I, though vile as he, washed all my sins away.

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood shall never lose its power

Till all the ransomed church of God be saved, to sin no more.

Be saved, to sin no more, be saved, to sin no more;

Till all the ransomed church of God be saved, to sin no more.

E’er since, by faith, I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply,

Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.

And shall be till I die, and shall be till I die;

Redeeming love has been my theme, and shall be till I die.

Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy power to save,

When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.

Lies silent in the grave, lies silent in the grave;

When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.

Lord, I believe Thou hast prepared, unworthy though I be,

For me a blood bought free reward, a golden harp for me!

’Tis strung and tuned for endless years, and formed by power divine,

To sound in God the Father’s ears no other name but Thine.

How to Please The Lord

Posted by Cheryl on January 23, 2015 at 8:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful And A Blessed Friday!!! PleasIng The Lord

How Do We Truly Please The Lord: First and foremost is to LOVE THE LORD GOD WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART. To live a life that’s pleasing unto God, believers must believe God’s Word and the promises contained therein.

Us as The Lord's children should never live to please people by making their approval of more importance than God’s. Paul was determined not to gain the affection of man or to avoid their resentment at the expense of approving himself to God. Paul would not allow himself to satisfy man at the expense of his faithfulness to Christ.

Study the word of God, our Lord tells us what to avoid, and then stay away from these things:

Galations 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Galations 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Galations 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galations 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Galations 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galations 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Galations 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galations 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

We should not find it painstaking to want to please the Lord daily. If we do, we need to search our heart, ask Lord help what is within me that is causing me to sin, stumble, wanting to ignore what is right? Ask for prayer, talk to a brother or sister that you can trust and talk to and do a bible study and pray together.

In Colossians we see what pleases the Lord these are the things that we need to write down hang on our fridge, bathroom mirror, take with us and look over. Work at doing these verses and ask for guidance that these are goals to meet in 2015 to please the Lord.

Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Ephesians 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

AT CALVARY

Years I spent in vanity and pride,

Caring not my Lord was crucified,

Knowing not it was for me He died

On Calvary. Mercy there was great, and grace was free;

Pardon there was multiplied to me;

There my burdened soul found liberty,

At Calvary.

By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;

Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,

Till my guilty soul imploring turned

To Calvary.

Now I’ve giv’n to Jesus everything,

Now I gladly own Him as my King,

Now my raptured soul can only sing

Of Calvary.

Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!

Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!

Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span

At Calvary!

I'LL LIVE FOR HIM

My life, my love I give to Thee,

Thou Lamb of God Who died for me;

O may I ever faithful be,

My Savior and my God!

I’ll live for Him Who died for me,

How happy then my life shall be!

I’ll live for Him Who died for me,

My Savior and my God!

I now believe Thou dost receive,

For Thou hast died that I might live;

And now henceforth I trust in Thee,

My Savior and my God!

I’ll live for Him Who died for me,

How happy then my life shall be!

I’ll live for Him Who died for me,

My Savior and my God!

O Thou Who died on Calvary,

To save my soul and make me free,

I’ll consecrate my life to Thee,

My Savior and my God!

I’ll live for Him Who died for me,

How happy then my life shall be!

I’ll live for Him Who died for me,

My Savior and my God!

Sowing and Reaping

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Day!!! Sowing & Reaping

Our Mind Is Like A Farmers Field:  If a farmer wants corn he plants corn, if he wants wheat he will plant wheat. Whatever we want thats what we need to plant. If we are sowing to the flesh we will reap corruption. It is not possible to sow to the flesh and get a spiritual harvest. If we are being defeated over sin over and over again we need to examine our thoughts, where we are going, what we are reading, and watching. What are we taking in each day.

What you put in our mind, and heart is what will harvest. It is IMPOSSIBLE to put worldly things in our minds and get spiritual results out. We sow every day, but we determine what we sow, not our Lord, he would never pick worldly lusts for us, however he gives us a free will. Take time now to examine what you are sowing. We need to take a check on our mind, and heart, think about? Do we daydream and have many fantasies? How do we spend our time? If our mind is full of worldly, fleshly, lustful, unclean, carnal or any ungodly thoughts then we must change our mind (REPENT NOW) and start thinking Godly thoughts.

The Bible is full of important lessons, the Lord's love, and warnings to us. As we read it, silently and aloud, to ourselves it will produce life and light in us. When we make the study of God's word a regular routine, part of our life just as eating, we will find ourselfs entertaining godly thoughts and ideals. His grace and favor will increase in your life. You will find ourself making decisions based on ideals that God himself dropped in your heart. You will also find it much more easy to discern thoughts that come from the devil. Your discernment will become much sharper.

We have to exercise ourselves in godly things in order to sharpen and develop our discernment. The first step in doing this is the recognition that our thoughts can come from various sources - us, our Precious Lord, and Savior, and the devil. Secondly, we need to recognize that the thoughts that come from the enemy and the liar Satan will harm us, and allow sin into our life. Thirdly, we need to accept by faith and act in faith by rejecting and not meditating on the devil's thoughts. You will know godly thoughts. For one, they will be devoid of envy, hatred and unnecessary suspicion. They will not have any filthy lusts, or worldliness in them. One way to eliminate evil thoughts is by paying attention to what you read, hear and see. They will come more more often as we have prayer daily with our Lord, and good Bible reading, and putting on the whole armour of God daily. Make God's thoughts your thoughts. MAKE HIM BE THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE AND MAKE NO ROOM FOR SATAN.

Galations 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Galations 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Jeremiah 11:8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.

Galations 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galations 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Galations 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Love,

LOVE DIVINE

Love divine, all loves excelling,

Joy of heaven to earth come down;

Fix in us thy humble dwelling;

All thy faithful mercies crown!

Jesus, Thou art all compassion,

Pure unbounded love Thou art;

Visit us with Thy salvation;

Enter every trembling heart.

Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit,

Into every troubled breast!

Let us all in Thee inherit;

Let us find that second rest.

Take away our bent to sinning;

Alpha and Omega be;

End of faith, as its Beginning,

Set our hearts at liberty.

Come, Almighty to deliver,

Let us all Thy life receive;

Suddenly return and never,

Never more Thy temples leave.

Thee we would be always blessing,

Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,

Pray and praise Thee without ceasing,

Glory in Thy perfect love.

Finish, then, Thy new creation;

Pure and spotless let us be.

Let us see Thy great salvation

Perfectly restored in Thee;

Changed from glory into glory,

Till in heaven we take our place,

Till we cast our crowns before Thee,

Lost in wonder, love, and praise.

O TO BE LIKE THEE

O to be like Thee, blessed Redeemer,

This is my constant longing and prayer;

Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,

Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

O to be like Thee, O to be like Thee,

Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;

Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;

Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

O to be like Thee, full of compassion,

Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,

Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,

Seeking the wand’ring sinner to find.

O to be like Thee, lowly in spirit,

Holy and harmless, patient and brave;

Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,

Willing to suffer, others to save.

O to be like Thee, Lord, I am coming,

Now to receive th’ anointing divine;

All that I am and have I am bringing,

Lord, from this moment all shall be Thine.

O to be like Thee, while I am pleading,

Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love,

Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,

Fit me for life and Heaven above.
