THANKSGIVING

Posted by Cheryl on November 27, 2014 at 9:10 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Be Thankful

WHY DO WE NEED TO BE THANKFUL IN ALL THINGS

For those of us Born-Again Bible-Believing Children of The Heavenly Father Someday we will reign for all day in Heaven with him. This is the worst we will ever face. After this life no more tears, no more sickness, no more trials, no more harm to children, no more abuse. In heaven no sin, no darkness, no harm. The little children will never be harmed.

If we have any illness, sickness here we can always find someone with much worse than we have it. However think about it do we really want to glory in someone being worse off than us. If we are abused mentally, emotioanly, physically look at those in the middle east they never know when the door will be broken down and they will be murdered.

Lets get more thankful for what we have, less unthankful for the tough things, and MORE thoughtful towards those in need. Lets get out there getting the gospel to the lost. Think about the lost no matter how awful they have it, it is the best it will be, because once death comes hell is where they go and then the worst of the worst will greet them. Hell is real, and no purgatory, no inbetween no praying our loved ones into heaven thats a huge lie from a religion sending many right into hell.

Our Lesson: What to be thankful for IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW:

SALVATION JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN

THE AIR WE BREATH

THE WORD OF GOD

OUR CHURCH HOMES

OUR FAMILY

TREES, FLOWERS,WATERS

MEDICAL CARE

GOOD CHRISTIAN FRIENDS

WE ALL NEED TO START SAYING AND SHOWING OUR THANKFULNESS, AND REACHING THE LOST, AND SHOWING CHARITY TO OTHERS!!!

LOVE, HUGS, PRAYERS,

CHERYL

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Psalm 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Psalm 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Psalm 95:4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

Psalm 95:5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

2Corinthians 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness [;)]

2Corinthians 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

2Corinthians 9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

Psalm 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

GIVE THANKS ALWAYS UNTO THE LORD!!!!

COME YE THANKFUL PEOPLE

Come, ye thankful people, come, raise the song of harvest home;

all is safely gathered in, ere the winter storms begin.

God our Maker doth provide for our wants to be supplied;

come to God's own temple, come, raise the song of harvest home.

All the world is God's own field, fruit as praise to God we yield;

wheat and tares together sown are to joy or sorrow grown;

first the blade and then the ear, then the full corn shall appear;

Lord of harvest, grant that we wholesome grain and pure may be.

For the Lord our God shall come, and shall take the harvest home;

from the field shall in that day all offenses purge away,

giving angels charge at last in the fire the tares to cast;

but the fruitful ears to store in the garner evermore.

Even so, Lord, quickly come, bring thy final harvest home;

gather thou thy people in, free from sorrow, free from sin,

there, forever purified, in thy presence to abide;

come, with all thine angels, come, raise the glorious harvest home.

THANKS TO GOD

Thanks to God for my Redeemer,

Thanks for all Thou dost provide!

Thanks for times now but a memory,

Thanks for Jesus by my side!

Thanks for pleasant, balmy springtime,

Thanks for dark and stormy fall!

Thanks for tears by now forgotten,

Thanks for peace within my soul!

Thanks for prayers that Thou hast answered,

Thanks for what Thou dost deny!

Thanks for storms that I have weathered,

Thanks for all Thou dost supply!

Thanks for pain, and thanks for pleasure,

Thanks for comfort in despair!

Thanks for grace that none can measure,

Thanks for love beyond compare!

Thanks for roses by the wayside,

Thanks for thorns their stems contain!

Thanks for home and thanks for fireside,

Thanks for hope, that sweet refrain!

Thanks for joy and thanks for sorrow,

Thanks for heavenly peace with Thee!

Thanks for hope in the tomorrow,

Thanks through all eternity!

Abandoned

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Day!!! Security

Does Our Lord Abandon Us Sometimes: When we go through pain, heartache, and sorrow, we feel we have been abandoned by everyone including our Lord. We feel if he was there he would have helped us by now. We may even feel as if he would help my brethren why not me? If we read in Romans 8 nothing can ever separate us from the Father.

Not an Event or Distress- Not a single distress can remove us from divine love, but rather, we can stand up and conquer it through Him who loves so much he was willing to die for us. If you went to such extreme measures for someone would you just give up one them? Well we are not the Lord and if we did something so extreme out of love for another person(and we can't) I doubt we would just walk away when it got a little tough.

No time frame- The Lord is not as us a micro-wave generation he doesn't have a time frame for things if it takes ten minutes or two-hundred years. He doesn't act as us get behind the slow driver and cuss, get angry, and worry Tim Hortons will run out of coffee or our favorite donut. He doesn't limit he help to "Cheryl this trial I am giving you three days then I am gone and your on your own" we do that to others not the Heavenly Father.

No Powers here on Earth or Spiritual- no power in earth or the spiritual world can stop the mighty God from helping us. Keep in mind the devils believe and shake. Our Lord is bigger, stronger, and capable over all things. We in this flesh, and faithless attitudes make him uncapable however he is more capable than any one in any world. He is the GREAT I AM. HE IS THE GREAT CREATOR HE SPOKE ALL THIS INTO BEING!!!

This promise of security in Christ isn’t a license to sin without consequence. It isn't permission to live without caution and say the Father has my back, Instead, it should motivate us to fall on our knees in gratitude and praise daily. As we truly realize the greatness of this gift of salvation and the Love of the Father for us his children.

Our Lesson: Our love for Christ NEEDS to increase and result in OBEDIENCE and JOY, and no matter what difficulty we face we need to say: "Hey this is not to big for my Father."

TRUST HIM, LOVE HIM, OBEY HIM!!!

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Psalm 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Psalm 1:6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Galations 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Galations 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love,

Cheryl

LOYALTY TO CHRIST

From over hill and plain there comes the signal strain,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

Its music rolls along, the hills take up the song,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

O hear, ye brave, the sound that moves the earth around,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

Arise to dare and do, ring out the watchword true,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

Come, join our loyal throng, we’ll rout the giant wrong,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

Where Satan’s banners float we’ll send the bugle note,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

The strength of youth we lay at Jesus’ feet today,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

His Gospel we’ll proclaim, throughout the world’s domain,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

YIELD NOT TO TEMPTATION

Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin;

Each victory will help you some other to win;

Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue,

Look ever to Jesus, He’ll carry you through.

Ask the Savior to help you,

Comfort, strengthen and keep you;

He is willing to aid you,

He will carry you through.

Shun evil companions, bad language disdain,

God’s Name hold in reverence, nor take it in vain;

Be thoughtful and earnest, kindhearted and true,

Look ever to Jesus, He’ll carry you through.

Ask the Savior to help you,

Comfort, strengthen and keep you;

He is willing to aid you,

He will carry you through.

To him that o’ercometh, God giveth a crown;

Through faith we shall conquer, though often cast down;

He Who is our Savior our strength will renew;

Look ever to Jesus, He’ll carry you through.

Ask the Savior to help you,

Comfort, strengthen and keep you;

He is willing to aid you,

He will carry you through.

PROMISE & PRAYER

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Sunday!!! A Precious Promise And Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

I was going to only put down Isaiah 41:10 and Matthew 5:10, and it just didn't seem right, and the Lord just said put this whole section down it all goes together. I love to read through these verses. When we read through these verses and look at all the Father does for us it is so amazing. Our Father who gave his only begotten Son to die on the cross for us worthless sinners so we could be in Heaven with him for all ETERNITY. He owes us nothing, he gave it all, and yet here we see look what else, what more he gives unto us. He could say ok until your soul is required your on your own, and he never says that at all. What a graceful, adoring, faithful father we have. How should we show our Thanks to the most PERFECT Father? LETS THINK ABOUT IT AND DO SOMETHING TO NOT JUST SAY THANK YOU BUT SHOW I LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU TO THE FATHER WHO GAVE HIS ALL, AND CONTINUES TO GIVE HIS ALL!!!!!

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

Matthew 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

Matthew 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

Matthew 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

Matthew 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

The Centurion praying for healing of his servant. We see in verse thirteen the Lord Jesus is telling him he believed and his prayers have been answered the servant has been healed. Truly amazing what praying and believing when we pray what can be done.

Storm of Life

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Friday~~~Storms In Life

There Are Blessings In The Storms Of Life:  In Matthew 14 we see the Lord has sent the Disciples to get in the boat and make their way across the Sea of Galilee. They are trapped in a fierce storm (like us here in WNY). These men are in the will of the Lord and yet, we see them struggling against the storm. Try as they might, however, it appears that they are unable to make any headway. No matter how hard they try they make no head way just stranded with the wind in their faces the pounding waves rocking them, and they are probaly white-knuckled.

Have you ever found yourself in that place? Have you ever found yourself stuck in one of life's storms, and no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, it seems that you cannot make any headway? Well, we all have times like that! It may seem to you like the storm will never end and that there is no possible good that can come from what you are facing. It feels as if the Lord has left you, and nobody is willing to give you any help. Well in the word of our Precious Lord there is some wonderful, and blessed news for us. While the storms of life are never pleasant, they do give us the children of the Mighty God certain benefits in our lives that we would do well to realize, and Praise the Lord for.

When Jesus came walking to them on the water what did he say to them? What reassurance did he give?

A message of peace he gives us peace in the midst of storms. Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." We do not get peace anyway like we do through our Precious Lord.

Our Lord is Powerful more than any storm, he can calm the raging sea. Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

Potential- Jesus is in control and if we are his nothing can happen to us without his knowledge. Psalm 121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

Sometimes, it is difficult to see the blessings from the storm.It may be for us to truly see what is important to us and what is not. It may be a wake up call on what we need to rid our life of. It may be a reminder of how fast things can change, or spin out of control. After the storm our vision can be so much better. Our walk with the Lord may be much improved. If your in a storm ask the Lord WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU LORD FROM THIS STORM?

Our Lesson: For Those in the Buffalo Area, Stay Safe Warm, and Pray for Each Other. If You Have An Elderly Neighbor Check On Them.

Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Mark 6:47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

Mark 6:48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

Mark 6:49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

Mark 6:50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

Mat 14:23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Mat 14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

Mat 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

Mat 14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

Mat 14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

Mat 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Mat 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Mat 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Mat 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Mat 14:32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Mat 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Mat 14:34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

Mat 14:35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

Mat 14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;

Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:

For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;

His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,

On earth is not his equal.

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;

Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing:

Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;

Lord Sabaoth, His name, from age to age the same,

And He must win the battle.

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,

We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:

The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;

His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,

One little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;

The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him who with us sideth:

Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;

The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,

His kingdom is forever.

A SHELTER TIME IN THE STORM

The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide,

A Shelter in the time of storm;

Secure whatever ill betide,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night,

A Shelter in the time of storm;

No fears alarm, no foes afright,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

The raging storms may round us beat,

A Shelter in the time of storm

We’ll never leave our safe retreat,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

O Rock divine, O Refuge dear,

A Shelter in the time of storm;

Be Thou our Helper ever near,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A weary land, a weary land;

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,

A Shelter in the time of storm.

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Thursday~~~No Fellowship

Home Alone What To Do; For Those of Us who are in Western New York Many may be alone right now. Are you bored? If anyone finds themselves alone for any amount of time no distractions, snowbound, or maybe home sick from work, daily routine take spiritual advantage of it.

I was double sad yesterday Pastor had no choice but cancel church driving bans, dangerous to be outside and on the roads. I was sad as I had missed Church on Sunday too. No fellowship with the brethren no sermon, I can't speak for others but to me it is like a punishment to miss Church and lose out on fellowship. Yesterday I was feeling sorry for myself. The Lord gave me a wake up kick and said STOP!!! This is perfect time to pray, fast, listen to preaching. We forget just how spoiled we are here in America. So much at our fingertips. Sometimes we need these breaks to take inventory on what is going on in our heart and life. I think of the Pastors who are working two full time jobs being a Pastor and the other full time job. This gives them some extra time with the family. My son-in-law has been on third shift they are enjoying some much needed family time all by themselves.

We are told to read, study, know the word of God what better time to enjoy learning than when we can't get out, no excuses. If your like me right now alone, no distractions DON'T WASTE THIS TIME, ENJOY MUCH NEEDED TIME WITH THE LORD!!!! Make today a day of fasting and prayer. Call around see if someone needs prayer and offer to pray with them.

Our Lesson: As I have said once or twice: WE ARE HERE TO GLORIFY THE LORD!!!! What Could You Do Today, to make a Difference?

Psalm 96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

Psalm 96:2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

Psalm 96:3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

Psalm 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

Psalm 96:6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Psalm 96:7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Psalm 96:8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

Psalm 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

Psalm 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Psalm 96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

Psalm 96:12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

Psalm 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Psalm 115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

1Corinthians 10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

1Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

NEVER ALONE

I’ve seen the lightning flashing,

And heard the thunder roll,

I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing,

Trying to conquer my soul;

I’ve heard the voice of my Savior,

Telling me still to fight on,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

The world’s fierce winds are blowing,

Temptation’s sharp and keen,

I have a peace in knowing

My Savior stands between—

He stands to shield me from danger,

When earthly friends are gone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

When in affliction’s valley

I’m treading the road of care,

My Savior helps me to carry

My cross when heavy to bear,

Though all around me is darkness,

Earthly joys all flown;

My Savior whispers His promise,

“I never will leave thee alone.”

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

He died for me on the mountain,

For me they pierced His side,

For me He opened the fountain,

The crimson, cleansing tide;

For me He’s waiting in glory,

Seated upon His throne,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

WE PRAISE THEE,O GOD, OUR REDEEMER

We praise Thee, O God, our Redeemer, creator,

In grateful devotion our tribute we bring;

We lay it before Thee, we kneel and adore Thee,

We bless Thy holy name, glad praises we sing.

We worship Thee, God of our fathers, we bless Thee;

Through life’s storm and tempest our guide have Thou been;

When perils overtake us, escape Thou will make us,

And with Thy help, O Lord, our battles we win.

With voices united our praises we offer,

To Thee, great Jehovah, glad anthems we raise.

Thy strong arm will guide us, our God is beside us,

To Thee, our great Redeemer, forever be praise.

Thy love Thou didst show us, Thine only Son sending,

Who came as a babe and whose bed was a stall,

His blest life He gave us and then died to save us;

We praise Thee, O Lord, for Thy gift to us all.

WORSHIP

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful And Blessed Wednesday!!! In Spirit & Truth

What Is True Worship?   We are called as children of the Heavenly Father, of the Mighty God, as our Precious Savior to worship him in spirit, and truth. What does that mean? Many and I also thought the same way assume worship was the singing part of the church service. Singing hymns can be a part of worship, however it is NOT limited to music. When we truly worship it effects the way we live it is our daily response to our Heavenly Father. Our spirit is the core of who we are. It is the center of who we really are, who the Lord knows we truly are. We also know that God is a spiritual being. To worship in spirit, then, is to do something that is beyond the physical.

When we truly worship we are saying he is worthy, it implies a reverence unto him. Also he is the ONLY one we should be worshipping. It is so sad in this world because many worship many things other than the Lord. Signs of worship are kneeling before someone, kissing their rings, hems of a garment and in some religions this is doneto the men teaching them, the "higher ups" and it is very wrong. People will meet celebrities and get all chocked up and bow, and kiss their hands this is disgusting they are nobody special. The only one worthy enough for worship is the Lord God, Jesus Christ.

Our attitudes and actions need to reflect that we believe in our heart, and mind the character and conduct of the Lord to be worthy of praise and adoration. At times our worship is expressed through reading, acts of kindness, gratitude, pure thoughts, and the like. Worshipping in truth means that we worship based on truth. This includes the truth about who God is and what He has done and continues to do, which is why He is worthy of worship. It also includes the truth about our circumstances. We worship the Lord even when we are experiencing heartache. When we worship Him, no matter what our circumstance we are saying he has our best interest at heart and he will get us through.

Our Lesson: To worship God in spirit and in truth, then, is to declare that God is worthy of our reverence. The Lord our God is the only one that is worthy. Has anyone every died for you, and rose again? Has anyone loved you that much? The only one we need to love enough to bow before is our Precious Savior Jesus Christ NO OTHER!!!!

Psalm 52:9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

Psalm 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

Psalm 100:1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

Psalm 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalm 145:2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Psalm 145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Revelation 4:9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

SNOWDAY

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Day!!! A SnowDay

How We As Christians Can Handle A Snow Day: Today here in Buffalo NY we have our first Offical "SnowDay" many schools are closed, travel bans, Doctor offices are closed. Some are angry, some are saying "there go my plans for today" some are just planing on watching television. Some are in a panic.

I know some creative young Moms out there and some are related to me. Lets not panic or complain over a snow day or any occasion that "MY PLANS are destroyed" be creative. For the young Moms with children if you home school make it a bit more fun put a big towel on your kitchen table bring in a bucket of snow build a tunnel or snowman.Talk about the strength of the Lord and how this snow shuts everything down but in a second the Lord could speak it all away. Then have a cup of hot cocoa snack.

The other thing us as adults can do is make use of this time to write cards of encouragment to homebound people. Make calls to older people check on them and make sure they are safe, and don't need anything, or take a care package with a nice tract. Instead of worrying about ourselves make use of this time. Take more time in your Bible, in prayer, in serving the Lord. Most often us as Christians say "I just don't have time for reading and praying" well we can't get out today so the Lord just gave us a whole day; DON'T WASTE IT DOING NOTHING.

Our Lesson: By the way the extra chores can wait they waited this long, they can wait longer. Lets think about this put the Lord on hold or housework on Hold? If you really have to think about this, that is really sad.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Psalm 136:12 With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Love,

Cheryl

TELL ME THE STORY OF JESUS

Tell me the story of Jesus,

Write on my heart every word.

Tell me the story most precious,

Sweetest that ever was heard.

Tell how the angels in chorus,

Sang as they welcomed His birth.

“Glory to God in the highest!

Peace and good tidings to earth.”

Tell me the story of Jesus,

Write on my heart every word.

Tell me the story most precious,

Sweetest that ever was heard.

Fasting alone in the desert,

Tell of the days that are past.

How for our sins He was tempted,

Yet was triumphant at last.

Tell of the years of His labor,

Tell of the sorrow He bore.

He was despised and afflicted,

Homeless, rejected and poor.

Tell me the story of Jesus,

Write on my heart every word.

Tell me the story most precious,

Sweetest that ever was heard.

Tell of the cross where they nailed Him,

Writhing in anguish and pain.

Tell of the grave where they laid Him,

Tell how He liveth again.

Love in that story so tender,

Clearer than ever I see.

Stay, let me weep while you whisper,

Love paid the ransom for me.

Tell me the story of Jesus,

Write on my heart every word.

Tell me the story most precious,

Sweetest that ever was heard.

ARE YE ABLE

“Are ye able,” said the Master,

“To be crucified with Me?”

“Yea,” the sturdy dreamers answered,

“To the death we follow Thee.”

Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine.

Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine.

Thy guiding radiance above us shall be

A beacon to God, to love and loyalty.

Are you able to relinquish

Purple dreams of power and fame,

To go down into the Garden,

Or to die a death of shame?

Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine.

Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine.

Thy guiding radiance above us shall be

A beacon to God, to love and loyalty.

Are ye able, when the anguish

Racks your mind and heart with pain,

To forgive the souls who wrong you,

Who would make your striving vain?

Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine.

Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine.

Thy guiding radiance above us shall be

A beacon to God, to love and loyalty.

Are ye able to remember,

When a thief lifts up his eyes,

That his pardoned soul is worthy

Of a place in paradise?

Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine.

Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine.

Thy guiding radiance above us shall be

A beacon to God, to love and loyalty.

Are ye able when the shadows

Close around you with the sod,

To believe that spirit triumphs,

To commend your soul to God?

Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine.

Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine.

Thy guiding radiance above us shall be

A beacon to God, to love and loyalty.

Are ye able? Still the Master

Whispers down eternity,

And heroic spirits answer,

Now as then in Galilee.

Lord, we are able. Our spirits are Thine.

Remold them, make us, like Thee, divine.

Thy guiding radiance above us shall be

A beacon to God, to love and loyalty.

Right Motives

Posted by Cheryl on November 17, 2014 at 8:05 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Monday~~~Right Motives

Our Heavenly Father Most Certainly Cares What We Do And Why We Do It: Motives do matter for many reasons, he is interested in the intentions that are hidden from the human eyes, WHY? becuse he is interested in our hearts.

The duty of a Christian is to do the will of God in His way, and with the right heart motive. It should never be with the foolish attitude "as long as it is done that is all that matter's" that is certainly not how the Lord looks at it ever. In 1Timothy 1:5-7 we see it says charity out of a pure heart; which means, if we give to someone it is not to be recognized, to be given back, to be honored it is to GIVE to be charitable!!!

How often do we see that someone gives and has to be thanked noticed, and wants the spotlight? It is so obvious where their heart stands. Sadly if we are going to be honest we have all at one time or another have had at least one motive like this. Some are maybe a gossip motive. To be able to let others know of a "upstanding Christian" in the past who just fell, and now "I" get to give the big news of course just as a prayer request. Do you really think our Heavenly Father likes these type of motives? Do you really think he doesn't know that Christian fell? Do you really believe he didn't see you help that individual?

Consider the three checkpoints for our motives: a pure heart, charity, and unfeigned faith. At all times we must strive to serve our Lord with a pure heart—with no ulterior or self-serving motives. Pray daily for a clean heart. We need to check our hearts daily. Keep in mind if we need to recognized here our reward in heaven will not be there it will be by being recognized by men here. If our hearts are not giving with a pure motive we need to fix that quick. We need to be concerned with the lost here, and with the things of eternity.

Our Lesson: Don't be concerned with the world all things here will be burned up.

THIS LIFE IS TO GLORIFY THE LORD, AND GET THE GOSPEL TO THE LOST.

1Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1Timothy 1:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

1Timothy 1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Romans 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

Romans 9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

Romans 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

1Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1Corinthians 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1Corinthians 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1Corinthians 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1Corinthians 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1Corinthians 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1Corinthians 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

1Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

1Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

1Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

Love,

Cheryl

ONE DAY

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,

One day when sin was as black as could be,

Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,

Dwelt among men, my Example is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,

One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;

Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:

Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day they left Him alone in the garden,

One day He rested, from suffering free;

Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;

Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,

One day the stone rolled away from the door;

Then He arose, over death He had conquered;

Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,

One day the skies with His glories will shine;

Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing;

Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

FILL ALL MY VISION

Fill all my vision, Saviour, I pray,

Let me see only Jesus today;

Though thro' the valley Thou leadest me,

Thy fadeless glory encompasseth me.

Fill all my vision, Saviour divine,

Till with Thy glory my spirit shall shine.

Fill all my vision, that all may see

Thy holy Image reflected in me.

Fill all my vision, every desire

Keep for Thy glory; my soul inspire

With Thy perfection, Thy holy love flooding

My pathway with light from above.

Fill all my vision, Saviour divine,

Till with Thy glory my spirit shall shine.

Fill all my vision, that all may see

Thy holy Image reflected in me.

Fill all my vision, Saviour divine,

Till with Thy glory my spirit shall shine.

Fill all my vision, that all may see

Thy holy Image reflected in me.

Fill all my vision, let naught of sin

Shadow the brightness shining within.

Let me see only Thy blessed face,

Feasting my soul on Thy infinite grace.

Fill all my vision, Saviour divine,

Till with Thy glory my spirit shall shine.

Fill all my vision, that all may see

Thy holy Image reflected in me.

A PROMISE AND A PRAYER

Posted by Cheryl on November 16, 2014 at 7:50 PM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Sunday!!! A Promise And A Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Praise the Lord see how simple salvation truly is. Yet religion has made it so difficult, and makes it look unattainable, or the opposite looks like if we are "good" don't murder, don't rob the local bank, don't steal the neighbors spouse we are in. We have to get the TRUE GOSPEL to the lost, and brainwashed, and we need to stop putting it off till tomorrow.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

1Samuel 30:8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

1Samuel 30:9 So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.

David in prayer asking the Lord for revelation how what he should do, what his next step should be. The Lord answers David because of the Lords plan and David doing the Lords work here in this battle.

As the Lord promises he is there when we are doing his work. PRAISE THE LORD!!! HIS MERCY ABOUNDETH.......

MAY JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED

When morning gilds the skies my heart awaking cries:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Alike at work and prayer, to Jesus I repair:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

When you begin the day, O never fail to say,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

And at your work rejoice, to sing with heart and voice,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Whene’er the sweet church bell peals over hill and dell,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

O hark to what it sings, as joyously it rings,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

My tongue shall never tire of chanting with the choir,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

This song of sacred joy, it never seems to cloy,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Does sadness fill my mind? A solace here I find,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Or fades my earthly bliss? My comfort still is this,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

To God, the Word, on high, the host of angels cry,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Let mortals, too, upraise their voice in hymns of praise,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this at meals your grace, in every time and place;

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this, when day is past, of all your thoughts the last

May Jesus Christ be praised!

When mirth for music longs, this is my song of songs:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

When evening shadows fall, this rings my curfew call,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

When sleep her balm denies, my silent spirit sighs,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

When evil thoughts molest, with this I shield my breast,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

The night becomes as day when from the heart we say:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

The powers of darkness fear when this sweet chant they hear:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

No lovelier antiphon in all high Heav’n is known

Than, Jesus Christ be praised!

There to the eternal Word the eternal psalm is heard:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Let all the earth around ring joyous with the sound:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

In Heaven’s eternal bliss the loveliest strain is this:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Sing, suns and stars of space, sing, ye that see His face,

Sing, Jesus Christ be praised!

God’s whole creation o’er, for aye and evermore

Shall Jesus Christ be praised!

In Heav’n’s eternal bliss the loveliest strain is this,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Let earth, and sea and sky from depth to height reply,

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this, while life is mine, my canticle divine:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

Sing this eternal song through all the ages long:

May Jesus Christ be praised!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

To God be the glory, great things he has done;

so loved he the world that he gave us his Son,

who yielded his life an atonement for sin,

and opened the lifegate that we may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; let the earth hear his voice!

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; let the people rejoice!

O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,

and give him the glory; great things he has done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,

to every believer the promise of God;

the vilest offender who truly believes,

that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things he has taught us, great things he has done,

and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;

but purer and higher and greater will be

our wonder, our gladness, when Jesus we see.

He Can Do All Promise And prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

1Samuel 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

1Samuel 2:7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

1Samuel 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

Verse 6th is a good one to show to those that ok with killing the innocent babies right from the womb. The Lord our God is the only one that has the right to taketh life, and giveth life. Verse 7&8 is for the Horrible Caste system where if your born into a poor family thats where you stay Hinduism another FALSE religion which is killing people. We are to open the eyes of those in and under false teachers, and teachings. Religion is nothing but lies, and sending many to hell due to fact it brainwashes people into believing its all about works, and about men. Lets get the TRUTH OUT THERE!!!!

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

Judges 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?

Judges 1:2 And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

The children of Israel asked for guidance, and the LORD God answered as the Father's will is for all his children to ask for guidance, wisdom, and his will.

ONE DAY

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,

One day when sin was as black as could be,

Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,

Dwelt among men, my Example is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,

One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;

Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:

Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

One day they left Him alone in the garden,

One day He rested, from suffering free;

Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;

Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,

One day the stone rolled away from the door;

Then He arose, over death He had conquered;

Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,

One day the skies with His glories will shine;

Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing;

Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!
