Servant

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Be A Servant

After Salvation We Have A few Goals To Work On Daily:

Study God's word, read it, study it, cherish it.

Prepare thyself for ministry, outreach, to be ready with a answer for anyone with a question.

To be in prayer daily, Praise the Precious Savior Daily, worship him, be prepared to do as he tells us to do.

To be caring and loving one to another, if a Brother or Sister has a need and you can meet that need help them out. Even if it is with prayer, reach out.

TELL OTHERS ABOUT THE GREATEST GIFT EVER GIVEN. GIVE OTHERS THE NEWS OF THE GOSPEL, EXPLAIN TO THEM JOHN 3:16.

If we want to improve our service to the Lord, we must first learn to check our motives. Have you ever noticed how difficult it is to have pure motivation? We need to make sure we are truly being a servant to truly be serving the Lord and not to be recognized as anything special, and waiting to be applauded in front of others. It is far better to be a quiet servant here, and get our reward in heaven. As best we can, we really need to get our reason for serving straightened out. It is the Lord God we serve. Don’t serve to impress others or to try to gain favor with God. We are here to serve the Lord.

Another problem we run into is just not wanting to be servant, some with pride have issues being called a servant. We should never have a problem being called a servant when we are a servant for our Lord. For those afraid to be called a "Servant" we will all serve someone I would much rather be a Servant to the Precious Savior Jesus Christ than the alternative his adversary Satan.

Follow the example of Jesus. Jesus does not just shake up our self-centered motives and

tell us to expect difficulties. He also challenges us to put others first. And, in case we’re

wondering how to do this, He offers Himself as the perfect role model. Look at verse

Matthew 20:28: Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but

to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Ministry is often a struggle but it is worth it! If you sense yourself wanting to pull back or find yourself. Here’s the principle: If we want to become truly great then we must give up personal rights and serve others. We need to be repeatedly reminded that our central ambition should be to minister to people, not to be admired by them.The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve. And we must do likewise. Like the disciples, we are often filled with a worldly spirit of criticism and competition as we try to position ourselves in the best light and maneuver things for our own gain. We desperately need this lesson in humility. Obedience means personal involvement. We can’t serve from a distance but must get close enough to get our hands dirty. If we’re going to serve like Christ served, then we must learn to see others as He sees them. We will suffer at times, we will get made fun of, we will get mocked, we may even get beat up.

Jesus left His throne in order to serve us: the ultimate act of servanthood when He gave His life as full payment for our sins, so that we can be set free. The true standard of greatness is the Savior’s pattern of self-sacrifice.

Matthew 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

Matthew 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

Matthew 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

Matthew 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Matthew 20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

Matthew 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Matthew 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Matthew 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

1Corinthians 4:4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

1Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

1Corinthians 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

Philippians 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Philippians 1:30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Philippians 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,

Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;

It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems

Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.

I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;

And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat

What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.

I love to tell the story, for some have never heard

The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best

Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.

And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,

’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,

To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

SEEKING THE LOST

Seeking the lost, yes, kindly entreating

Wanderers on the mountain astray;

“Come unto Me,” His message repeating,

Words of the Master speaking today.

Going afar (going afar)

Upon the mountain (upon the mountain)

Bringing the wanderer back again, back again,

Into the fold (into the fold)

Of my Redeemer (of my Redeemer)

Jesus the Lamb for sinners slain, for sinners slain.

Seeking the lost and pointing to Jesus

Souls that are weak and hearts that are sore,

Leading them forth in ways of salvation,

Showing the path to life evermore.

Going afar (going afar)

Upon the mountain (upon the mountain)

Bringing the wanderer back again, back again,

Into the fold (into the fold)

Of my Redeemer (of my Redeemer)

Jesus the Lamb for sinners slain, for sinners slain.

Thus would I go on missions of mercy,

Following Christ from day unto day,

Cheering the faint and raising the fallen,

Pointing the lost to Jesus, the Way.

Going afar (going afar)

Upon the mountain (upon the mountain)

Bringing the wanderer back again, back again,

Into the fold (into the fold)

Of my Redeemer (of my Redeemer)

Jesus the Lamb for sinners slain, for sinners slain.

Persecution

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Persecution

Often Times When We As The Children Of God Get Up And Start Working For Our Beloved Father We Are Willing To Stand Tall, Even Willing To Be Shot At, Then Someone Laughs At Us, Mocks Us, And We Crumble; Peer pressure in young people is powerful, and we all are young at heart in this matter. But one of the largest cult today is the cult of conformity. We want to fit in. And if we try to stand out at all we end up the butt of the joke. The world chooses not understand Jesus, His church, and His people. They perfer to hate him and all things about our Precious Jesus. Sadly many of the Lord's children want to fit in on both sides, but we all must choose sides and accept that many will laugh at our standards and beliefs. Ultimately we must choose who we are trying to please-God or man. We also must decide what is more important to keep in good standing, our testimony or our standing in the world.

If you are not facing ridicule as a believer, you must not be taking your stand in the right ways. "All who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." It's a privilege to be persecuted. In John 15:20 Jesus is telling us: "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also".

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. Yes, I am a sold out servant for Jesus Christ, and I sure do not feel like a fool or weak in anyway. I feel sorry for those who choose to be the fool of the devil! Some say "Christians are weak they have to depend on God", well I don't feel trusting on the Savior he who paid my sin debt in full, he who overcame death, he who loved us before we loved him, the King of kings, the Mighty God as being weak. I feel trusting in the things of this world, the "Crowd" as being weak, afraid to tell the multitude "Hey crowd I am leaving you all and trusting Jesus". Many refuse to do that because they are weak and afraid.

How to respond to ridicule: Remember the cause of ridicule. It is very reasonable, when you look at the evidence, to believe the Bible is the Word of God. The Bible is a miracle in its origination, its preservation, its circulation, and its application. There's the testimony of its scientific accuracy, its prophetic accuracy, the creation proof. It's a very reasonable faith. But when the world cannot reason you out of believing the Bible they will try to ridicule you out of believing. When they can't logically explain you out believing they will try to laugh you out of believing. It is better not to stand and argue all it does is make us and the non-believer look foolish, and we don't want to give them what they want.

Incidentally, if ever you hear something which sounds unbelievable consider checking it out before you believe it! I have been caught hearing something saying it before checking it out. We need to be very careful the world is lost, sinful, disgusting but not stupid. They also try to anger us some of the things they will say against our Lord is awful. Remember the character of those doing the ridiculing.We are known not only by the friends that we make but by the enemies that we make. There's something wrong the Christian that no one is laughing at.

Remember our Lord was laughed at, he tells us to love our enemies. If Our Lord was laughed at and mocked I believe we can take a bit of laughing and mocking. How long are we here in comparison to eternity? Lets let them have their fun now they are running out of time. This is there fun now then eternity. While we are in eternity with Our Lord unless they come to salvation they sure will not be laughing anymore. Lets pray for each of these mockers, scorners, worldly lost on their way to hell enemies.

KEEP IN MIND ACROSS THIS WORLD THERE IS MUCH WORSE PERSECUTIONS GOING ON THAN BEING LAUGHED AT AND MOCKED. WE NEED TO BE IN PRAYER FOR EACH OTHER DAILY.....

Luke 23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

Luke 23:36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

Luke 23:37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

2Timothy 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

2Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Nehemiah 4:1 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

Nehemiah 4:2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

Nehemiah 4:3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

Nehemiah 4:4 Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:

Nehemiah 4:5 And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

2Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

2Corinthians 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

2Corinthians 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

2Corinthians 4:11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

2Corinthians 4:12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

2Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

2Corinthians 4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

2Corinthians 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

2Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

2Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

2Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

1Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1Corinthians 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

1Corinthians 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

1Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1Corinthians 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Psalm 53:1 A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Psalm 53:2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

Psalm 53:3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalm 53:4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

Psalm 53:5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

IN THE HOUR OF TRIAL

In the hour of trial,

Jesus, plead for me

Lest by base denial

I unworthy be.

When you see me waver,

With a look recall,

Nor for fear or favor

Ever let me fall.

With forbidden pleasures

Should this vain world charm

Or its tempting treasures

Spread to work me harm,

Bring to my remembrance

Sad Gethsemane

Or, in darker semblance,

Cross-crowned Calvary.

Should your mercy send me

Sorrow, toil, and woe,

Or should pain attend me

On my path below,

Grant that I may never

Fail your cross to view;

Grant that I may ever

Cast my care on you.

When my life is ending,

Though in grief or pain,

When my body changes

Back to dust again,

On your truth relying,

Through that mortal strife,

Jesus, take me, dying,

To eternal life.

NEVER ALONE

I’ve seen the lightning flashing,

And heard the thunder roll,

I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing,

Trying to conquer my soul;

I’ve heard the voice of my Savior,

Telling me still to fight on,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

The world’s fierce winds are blowing,

Temptation’s sharp and keen,

I have a peace in knowing

My Savior stands between—

He stands to shield me from danger,

When earthly friends are gone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

When in affliction’s valley

I’m treading the road of care,

My Savior helps me to carry

My cross when heavy to bear,

Though all around me is darkness,

Earthly joys all flown;

My Savior whispers His promise,

“I never will leave thee alone.”

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

He died for me on the mountain,

For me they pierced His side,

For me He opened the fountain,

The crimson, cleansing tide;

For me He’s waiting in glory,

Seated upon His throne,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

No, never alone,

No, never alone,

He promised never to leave me,

Never to leave me alone.

Selfishness

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Day!!! Selfishness

IT IS MY TURN, WHAT ABOUT ME, I DIDN'T GET MINE YET, HEY ITS NOT FAIR, I DIDN'T GET ANY, ME, MINE, I, SHE GOT SOME ALREADY, I HATE THEM THEY ARE THE FAVORITES;

Just looking at these expressions turn my stomach. Some may even laugh and think I am exaggerating a bit. I know I have a difficult time having fellowship with someone who is selfish. I know of someone who I have talked with and if I say "pray for Betty she has had an awful time with this illness" she comes back with "well I have been very sick lately too".

What does our Lord say about selfishness? Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Philippians 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Even a young child with a selfish nature it is very difficult to enjoy that child. I was blessed my children were always very willing to share, they were very thoughtful to others, that was a huge blessing to me. However when a child was selfish to them it was difficult a bit more due to the fact that I knew my children were sharing with them. It did teach them at a very early age why it was so important to share and the ugliness of selfishness.

Selfishness or empty conceit is often expressed by building up oneself while tearing down someone else. It is one of the “works of the flesh” according to what we read in Galations 5:20. Selfishness caused the children of Israel to “willfully put God to the test by demanding the food they craved” Selfishness caused the rich young ruler to turn his back on Jesus, he didn't want to give up all the material wealth, toys he had gained here on earth. Selfishness ruins friendships, hinders prayer,

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. and is the product of earthly wisdom.

James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

James 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

The opposite of selfishness is also found in Philippians 2:

Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Combating the sin of selfish ambition requires genuine humility. Unpretentious humility restores and grows relationships. Being humble involves having a true perspective about ourselves in relation to God. “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you”

Prayer and a love of Scripture are necessary as well. “Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain”.

Psalm 119:36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

Psalm 119:37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

Psalm 119:38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. Love covers a multitude of sins, including selfishness. If we are truly “devoted to one another in brotherly love”,

Romans 12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; we cannot be selfish. Having the attitude of Christ is to demonstrate tenderness and compassion for all those we come in contact with.

Another sure cure for selfishness is to know where our treasure is. The Christian holds the things of this world loosely because he is laying up “treasures in heaven”.

Matthew 6:18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

In Acts we are told:

Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.and he lives according to the truth that “God loves a cheerful giver”.

In Corinthians:

2Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

2Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

2Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

What is selfish ambition? It means to be self-seeking and always looking out for one's own interests above the interests of anyone else. In other words, selfishly ambitious people are those who will electioneer for office and court popular applause by deceit. They are always putting themselves forward without reference to truth. They are full of such slogans as, "Make way for me! I am better than all of you. Vote for me, and I will be your savior." The Antichrist is an example of such a politician. When he comes, he will be characterized by eritheia, selfish ambition, and he will use deceit and trickery to promote himself. I have met a selfish person that was a pleasure to be around. I have never never a selfish person that I enjoyed talking to for for than a few minutes. They could be the most beautiful person on the outside but are truly very ugly. They make the worst friends, and are always out for self. If you have issues with selfishness get HELP with that immediately, if they are thinking of you beward there is something in it for them.

Some Bible Examples:

Psalm 78:18 And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.

Matthew 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Matthew 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

Proverbs 18:2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Galations 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Galations 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Galations 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galations 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Galations 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galations 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Galations 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galations 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Genesis 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

1Samuel 25:3 Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.

Esther 6:6 So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

Isaiah 56:11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Mark 10:37 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

WHEN LOVE SHINES IN

Jesus comes with pow’r to gladden,

When love shines in,

Every life that woe can sadden,

When love shines in.

Love will teach us how to pray,

Love will drive the gloom away,

Turn our darkness into day,

When love shines in.

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

How the heart is tuned to singing,

When love shines in;

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

Joy and peace to others bringing,

When love shines in.

How the world will grow with beauty,

When love shines in,

And the heart rejoice in duty,

When love shines in.

Trials may be sanctified,

And the soul in peace abide,

Life will all be glorified,

When love shines in.

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

How the heart is tuned to singing,

When love shines in;

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

Joy and peace to others bringing,

When love shines in.

Darkest sorrow will grow brighter,

When love shines in,

And the heaviest burden lighter,

When love shines in.

’Tis the glory that will throw

Light to show us where to go;

Oh, the heart shall blessing know,

When love shines in.

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

How the heart is tuned to singing,

When love shines in;

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

Joy and peace to others bringing,

When love shines in.

We may have unfading splendor,

When love shines in,

And a friendship true and tender,

When love shines in.

When earth’s vict’ries shall be won,

And our life in Heav’n begun,

There will be no need of sun,

When love shines in.

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

How the heart is tuned to singing,

When love shines in;

When love shines in,

When love shines in,

Joy and peace to others bringing,

When love shines in.

OVER THE SUNSET MOUNTAINS

OVER THE SUNSET MOUNTAINS

SOMEDAY I’LL SOFTLY GO

INTO THE ARMS OF JESUS

HE WHO HAS LOVED ME SO

OVER THE SUNSET MOUNTAINS

HEAVEN AWAITS FOR ME

OVER THE SUNSET MOUNTAINS

JESUS MY SAVIOR I’LL SEE

TOILING WILL ALL BE ENDED

SHADOWS WILL FLEE AWAY

SORROW WILL BE FORGOTTEN

OH, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY

YE SERVANTS OF GOD

You servants of God, your Master proclaim,

and publish abroad his wonderful name;

the name all-victorious of Jesus extol;

his kingdom is glorious and rules over all.

God rules in the height, almighty to save;

though hid from our sight, his presence we have;

the great congregation his triumph shall sing,

ascribing salvation to Jesus our King.

"Salvation to God, who sits on the throne!"

let all cry aloud, and honor the Son;

the praises of Jesus the angels proclaim,

fall down on their faces and worship the Lamb.

Then let us adore and give him his right:

all glory and power, all wisdom and might,

all honor and blessing with angels above

and thanks never ceasing for infinite love.

Promise Prayer Victory

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful & Blessed Sunday!!! A Promise & A Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Praise the Lord!!! He is so good to us. He didn't just pay our sin debt and say "ok your all on your own", once we are born again, and adopted into his family he takes care of our every need. Even when we are sad, mourning he comforts us. However for those who don't want him he will never push himself on them he stays away and won't bother them unless they come to him. If they die without him he will still leave them to their own demise and their own choice.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;

Lamentations 1:20 Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.

Lamentations 1:21 They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.

Lamentations 1:22 Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.

We see here Jeremiah is calling out to the LORD in distress. His heart is troubled greatly. All have left him alone nobody is comforting him. He is asking the Lord for Judgment. He is asking the LORD to do unto them as done as done unto him when not doing God's will. We can see in his words he is very troubled.

Thank you All for your Prayers!!!

LOYALTY TO CHRIST

From over hill and plain there comes the signal strain,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

Its music rolls along, the hills take up the song,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

O hear, ye brave, the sound that moves the earth around,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

Arise to dare and do, ring out the watchword true,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

Come, join our loyal throng, we’ll rout the giant wrong,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

Where Satan’s banners float we’ll send the bugle note,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

The strength of youth we lay at Jesus’ feet today,

’Tis loyalty, loyalty, loyalty to Christ;

His Gospel we’ll proclaim, throughout the world’s domain,

Of loyalty, loyalty, yes, loyalty to Christ.

“On to victory! On to victory!”

Cries our great Commander, “On!”

We’ll move at His command,

We’ll soon possess the land,

Through loyalty, loyalty,

Yes, loyalty to Christ.

VICTORY THRU GRACE

Conquering now and still to conquer, rideth a King in His might;

Leading the host of all the faithful into the midst of the fight;

See them with courage advancing, clad in their brilliant array,

Shouting the Name of their Leader, hear them exultingly say:

Not to the strong is the battle, not to the swift is the race,

Yet to the true and the faithful vict’ry is promised through grace.

Conquering now and still to conquer, who is this wonderful King?

Whence are the armies which He leadeth, while of His glory they sing?

He is our Lord and Redeemer, Savior and Monarch divine;

They are the stars that forever bright in His kingdom shall shine.

Conquering now and still to conquer, Jesus, Thou Ruler of all,

Thrones and their scepters all shall perish,

crowns and their splendor shall fall,

Yet shall the armies Thou leadest, faithful and true to the last,

Find in Thy mansions eternal rest, when their warfare is past.

PRAYER AND PROMISE

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful & Blessed Weekend!!! A Promise & A Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Colossians 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We see here a wonderful promise of forgiveness in 1John. However we also see the great privilege we have as his child to go to him our self. We don't need special permission, we don't need for another man to go before him. We when we need to confess something, when we have a need, a request, prayer we want heard; we take ourself before his holy throne ourself and ask, confess, call out. There is nowhere in his word does it ever say our Pastor, Priest, Minister, the Pope has to go for us. There is nothing wrong to pray with others if that's what we choose, but we can go before him our on own. PRAISE THE LORD....He IS SO GOOD TO US!!!!

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;

Job 40:1 Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,

Job 40:2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

Job 40:3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

Job 40:4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

Job 40:5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

Job 40:6 Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Job 40:7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

We see Job asking for forgiveness in verses 3-5. This is a great lesson for us when we feel we have been through a tough time. Look at what Job has been through, loss of all of children in the same day, sores all over his body, loss of all his cattle, his friends accusing him of sin in his life, his wife telling him "curse God and Die", so much and instead of "Hateful" towards God he loves him and when he is wrong he still asks forgives he isn't coming before him with the mindset of "well after all I have beef through you owe me LORD". Have anyone of us went through what Job has? If so how do you feel about the Lord? How is your attitude?

I SING THE MIGHTY POWER OF GOD

I sing the mighty power of God, that made the mountains rise,

That spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies.

I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day;

The moon shines full at God’s command, and all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord, who filled the earth with food,

Who formed the creatures through the Word, and then pronounced them good.

Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, where’er I turn my eye,

If I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky.

There’s not a plant or flower below, but makes Thy glories known,

And clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order from Thy throne;

While all that borrows life from Thee is ever in Thy care;

And everywhere that we can be, Thou, God art present there.

BLESSED BE THE NAME

Oh, for a thousand tongues to sing,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

The glories of my God and king!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

Jesus! the Name that charms our fears,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

’Tis music in the sinner’s ears,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

He breaks the pow’r of canceled sin,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

His blood can make the foulest clean,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

I never shall forget that day,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

When Jesus washed my sins away,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

PRAYER,PROMISE, PEACE

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! A Promise & Prayer

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;

2Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

1Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Proverbs 12:20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

The Lord as we see in these verses (and there are more),wants us to have peace. He gives us peace, although we when trying to live both in the world, and for the Lord, destroy that peace the Lord gives to us, which is another reason why we should not try to to serve both the world and Jesus Christ. The Lord gives us many wonderful blessings, we are the culprits destroying the blessings at our very fingertips.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Luke 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

Luke 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

Luek 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Lukw 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

This is the account of the rich man in hell lived his life to the fullest in the world, gave no thought to eternity, he had it all. Then his soul was required of him. Notice he asks for Lazarus the poor man who ate after the dogs to bring him drips of water, very ironic. Then he wants for someone to go warn his brothers, and the Lord tells him no, even if someone comes back from the dead they would still not listen. This is also a good account to show people when they say they heard from someone who has passed on, no we can't hear from anyone who has passed it is not possible, and if they did, RUN it is a devil. Once we are passed from earth to our eternal destiny we cannot see, hear, or communicate with living people here on earth. As much as we may want to believe that and get comfort from that it is not true. If you think about it in reality would you want family deceased seeing your every move here on earth? There is one that can see, hear, and knows our every move, motive, word, and that is our Precious Jesus Christ....

I AM HIS AND HE IS MINE

Loved with everlasting love, led by grace that love to know;

Gracious Spirit from above, Thou hast taught me it is so!

O this full and perfect peace! O this transport all divine!

In a love which cannot cease, I am His, and He is mine.

In a love which cannot cease, I am His, and He is mine.

Heav’n above is softer blue, Earth around is sweeter green!

Something lives in every hue Christless eyes have never seen;

Birds with gladder songs o’erflow, flowers with deeper beauties shine,

Since I know, as now I know, I am His, and He is mine.

Since I know, as now I know, I am His, and He is mine.

Things that once were wild alarms cannot now disturb my rest;

Closed in everlasting arms, pillowed on the loving breast.

O to lie forever here, doubt and care and self resign,

While He whispers in my ear, I am His, and He is mine.

While He whispers in my ear, I am His, and He is mine.

His forever, only His; Who the Lord and me shall part?

Ah, with what a rest of bliss Christ can fill the loving heart!

Heav’n and earth may fade and flee, firstborn light in gloom decline;

But while God and I shall be, I am His, and He is mine.

But while God and I shall be, I am His, and He is mine.

PEACE, PERFECT PEACE

Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin?

The blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Peace, perfect peace, by thronging duties pressed?

To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Peace, perfect peace, with sorrows surging round?

On Jesus’ bosom naught but calm is found.

Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones far away?

In Jesus’ keeping we are safe, and they.

Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown?

Jesus we know, and He is on the throne.

Peace, perfect peace, death shadowing us and ours?

Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers.

It is enough: earth’s struggles soon shall cease,

And Jesus call us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

Vows

Posted by Cheryl on April 16, 2015 at 8:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! Vows

There Are Many Different Vows Out In The World Are They All Important To The Lord; Some of the vows are, Hippocratic Oath, The Pledge of Allegiance, Enlistment Armed Services Oath, AWANA Pledge,Wedding Vow, Presidential Oath of Office and of course we all have made vows unto the Lord. Many of us have made vows unto friends, family our church. The Lord tells us however, in Ecclesiastes 5:4&5:

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Vows are important to make as to keep ourselves on the right course. Sometimes when we have made a vow it is less likely to wander. Less likely to get off into old habits. I had the awful habit of during prayer time if the phone rang answering the phone. I would get distracted and be thinking what if it was an emergency. What if one of my kids needed something. What if someone from church needed me. Then one day I felt this knot in my stomach and the Holy Spirit tugging at me, felt like your on your knees all quiet, talking to the one who saved you, paid your sin debt in full, got his undivided attention, telling him all your concerns, and you just got up and ran to the phone, DID YOU REALLY DO THAT? So now since I made a vow unto the Father I stay in prayer, I have an answering machine and if it is important a message can be left.

Some vows are foolish to make, and we have to really consider and ask ourselves do we really want to vow this to our Lord. An example is you have a upcoming wedding a can't fit into that new dress your upset "Lord please help me to lose 20 pounds I promise to stop eating ice cream, candy, and milk shakes for a month". When we vow something unto the Lord it really should be godly, spiritual, a need for others, ourself, for growth in our walks. Just like a vow unto our spouse, our Lord, a friend, the brethren we need to realize once we have made it keep it, and remember it is like signing a contract, it should be taken serious, it is not something the next day "oh about that well we wouldn't serious were we"?

NEXT VOW YOU MAKE KEEP IT REAL, AND IMPORTANT REALIZE A VOW UNTO THE LORD OR OTHERS IS AS A CONTRACT A BINDING LEGAL DOCUMENT. HOW DO WE FEEL WHEN SOMEONE BREAKS A VOW UNTO US? WE ARE TO TREAT OTHERS AS WE WANT TO BE TREATED, REMEMBER THAT IN ALL THINGS. THE LORD TAKES VOWS VERY SERIOUS.

ONE DAY

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,

One day when sin was as black as could be,

Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,

Dwelt among men, my Example is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,

One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;

Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:

Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day they left Him alone in the garden,

One day He rested, from suffering free;

Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;

Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,

One day the stone rolled away from the door;

Then He arose, over death He had conquered;

Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,

One day the skies with His glories will shine;

Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing;

Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever;

One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

ALL HAIL THE POWER

All hail the power of Jesus’ Name! Let angels prostrate fall;

Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.

Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.

Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre, and as they tune it, fall

Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all.

Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all.

Crown Him, ye morning stars of light, who fixed this floating ball;

Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, and crown Him Lord of all.

Now hail the strength of Israel’s might, and crown Him Lord of all.

Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God, who from His altar call;

Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod, and crown Him Lord of all.

Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod, and crown Him Lord of all.

Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race, ye ransomed from the fall,

Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all.

Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all.

Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line, whom David Lord did call,

The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all,

The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all.

Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget the wormwood and the gall,

Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all.

Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all.

Let every tribe and every tongue before Him prostrate fall

And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all.

And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all.

BROKENNESS

Posted by Cheryl on April 15, 2015 at 9:00 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Wednesday!!! Brokenness

When We Are Broken We Need To Look At It As A Blessing And Be Thankful; Brokenness is the point where often we have to get before we give up control and give our life over to the Lord and realize we can't do it alone. Repentance is brokenness and surrender in action. Surrender, brokenness, and repentance are character traits of people desperately desiring the Lord.

Surrender is a fact of life. It may be voluntary or forced. In one way or another, every person yields control of their lives to someone else no matter their position in society. The question is not if we surrender, but to whom are we surrendering. Often times people who don't want to come to the Lord will say "I am my own person" well if they only realized we all belong to someone. We all have someone to answer to, and when we die we sure won't be on our own, we will join Jesus in Heaven or Satan and his devils in Hell. Nobody will have there own place somewhere out in the atmosphere.

In view of God’s mercy, everyone has but one acceptable response to the crucified and resurrected Christ—to surrender our lives to Him and live for His glory. Anything else is rebellion! Repentance is an ongoing act of surrender, while holiness is the fruit of a surrendered life. To relinquish control of our lives to the One who both created and purchased us is foundational to the Christian faith. Jesus never requested our reckless abandonment. We cannot be loyal to two gods. We are told "No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon". Luke 16:13 When we refuse to surrender our lives, wills or wants to Jesus we walk in deliberate disobedience. By not submitting to the Lord people automatically submit to Satan and the principles that govern his kingdom. This may seem to be a hard statement. However, can any serious person believe that a compromise between serving God and serving Satan is possible?

Brokenness is never weakness. It is coming to the end of one’s self-life. Jesus said that the broken man is truly a blessed man. Through brokenness we comprehend that we are a people in tremendous need of a Savior. A person will throw himself at the Redeemer’s feet only when he grasps the reality that he deserves divine judgment for his sin and that his sole hope is Christ’s mercy. This is where a life of brokenness begins. “The broken man,” “is quick to repent. He does not try to sweep sin under the carpet. He does not try to forget it with the excuse, ‘Time heals all things.’ He rushes into the presence of God and cries, ‘I have sinned". Many people have to get to the point of brokenness to see this need of a Savior, to see they can't do it on their own.

Brokenness produces true humility. Until our pride is broken we will not humble ourselves before God or men. Brokenness and humility are the results of a deep consciousness of personal guilt before God over sin, seeing our overwhelming need of a Savior, and then clinging to Christ as a result. People who are in a right relationship with their Savior will grow in brokenness and humility until their dying day:

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Revival is brought about through humble and broken saints who yearn to see the glory of God. It is very sad how so many of us have the word of God sitting in our home and we still reach out to the wrong places for comfort have to get to brokenness before saying "Ok Lord I need you". However we need to be so THANKFUL....to our Precious Lord for his longsuffering, mercy, and grace who keeps loving us, forgiving us, and fixing us.

Psalm 31:1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Psalm 31:2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

Psalm 31:3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Psalm 31:4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

Psalm 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Psalm 31:6 I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

Psalm 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

Psalm 31:8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

Psalm 31:9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

Psalm 31:10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

Psalm 31:11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

Psalm 31:12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

Psalm 31:13 For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

Psalm 31:14 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

Psalm 31:15 My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Psalm 31:16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.

Psalm 31:17 Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

Psalm 31:18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Psalm 31:19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Psalm 31:20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

Psalm 31:21 Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

Psalm 31:22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

Psalm 31:23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Proverbs 25:18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.

Proverbs 25:19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

Proverbs 25:28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

2Corinthians 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

2Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

2Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

2Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

1Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

I SURRENDER ALL

All to Jesus, I surrender;

All to Him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust Him,

In His presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;

Humbly at His feet I bow,

Worldly pleasures all forsaken;

Take me, Jesus, take me now.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus, I surrender;

Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;

Let me feel the Holy Spirit,

Truly know that Thou art mine.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus, I surrender;

Lord, I give myself to Thee;

Fill me with Thy love and power;

Let Thy blessing fall on me.

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;

Now I feel the sacred flame.

O the joy of full salvation!

Glory, glory, to His Name!

I surrender all, I surrender all,

All to Thee, my blessèd Savior,

I surrender all.

O JESUS THOU ART STANDING

O Jesus, Thou art standing, outside the fast closed door,

In lowly patience waiting to pass the threshold o’er:

Shame on us, Christian brothers, His name and sign who bear,

O shame, thrice shame upon us, to keep Him standing there!

O Jesus, Thou art knocking; and lo, that hand is scarred,

And thorns Thy brow encircle, and tears Thy face have marred:

O love that passeth knowledge, so patiently to wait!

O sin that hath no equal, so fast to bar the gate!

O Jesus, Thou art pleading in accents meek and low,

I died for you, My children, and will you treat Me so?

O Lord, with shame and sorrow we open now the door;

Dear Savior, enter, enter, and leave us nevermore.

Opportunities

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Tuesday!!! Opportunities

If We Want To Understand The Lord's Will We Need To Be Always Looking For Opportunities Right In Front Of Us Especially In Difficult Circumstances; In the passage in Mark 6:37 it tells us that Jesus and His disciples went by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, but a crowd in excess of 5,000 learned about it and followed them. Jesus started to teach them many things, and they listened. As it got late in the day, the disciples came to him with a problem: There are too many people to feed. But rather than seeing this as an opportunity for the Lord to work, they saw it as a problem they needed to fix. Notice their pessimism, As we see, and many know what happened all were fed, what a great opportunity that was made, instead of making it into a problem.says they said to him,

A couple weeks ago I had a great opportunity after the Lord told me to stop being a cry-baby. I had to have an angiogram, and did not want this test at all. My mom had them, and I knew others who had them. Plain and simple and the honest truth I WAS AFRAID, and BY MYSELF(well our Precious Lord was there). At one point He let me know enough we will do this and you are going in there and are going to tell them about me. Well when we look at the whole picture, and trust him, it is amazing what opportunities can come. Not to go into great detail, while they did that test I gave the gospel, talked about our Lord, and sent a letter to the people that were in that room. The pain of that needle going into my arm into my heart never felt it. Was that me? Absolutely NOT it was the Lord.

The Lord wants us to join Him in His work and that is exactly what He wanted the Disciplies to do and what he wants us to learn and do as well. Why? Because once we come to believe in Christ as Savior, we can't sit in neutral waiting for him., We need to move on in making Him Lord of our lives. It would be like being born and staying an infant our entire life. That’s not God’s plan! His plan is for us to join Him in His work, as we come under His direction, authority and leadership. However, as disciples that come under the Lordship of Christ we need to start looking at the world and the problems we face from His perspective. If we face problems as the world how are we any different than the world? If the lost see us behave the same as them why would they trust our Lord? The disciples on the other hand were looking at this dilemma from their perspective. In fact, they left the Lord almost entirely out of the equation or in many of our cases we first exhaust all our resources before we come to Him. Often times we are an emotional wreck before we even say "Ok Lord what do you want me to do".How in the world we’re the disciple going to feed all those people on their own? They needed to change their mindset of making the most of every opportunity by seeing that:

Problems are opportunities in disguise.

Oftentimes the Lord allows problems to teach us humility so we do trust him.

Problems in others lifes are a great way to minister to them.

.

Just as the disciples served the Lord and the Lord wanted them to look at problems as opportunities to be a witness to the lost, to glorify him. If we panic at every corner, rough turn why would the lost want what we have in Jesus?

1Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

1Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

James 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1:9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

Luke 9:10 And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

Luke 9:12 And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

Luke 9:13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

Luke 9:14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

Luke 9:15 And they did so, and made them all sit down.

Luke 9:16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

Luke 9:17 And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

Luke 9:18 And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

2Corinthians 11:11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.

2Corinthians 11:12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

Ephesians 6:7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

Ephesians 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Ephesians 6:9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

HAVE I DONE MY BEST

I wonder have I done my best for Jesus,

Who died upon the cruel tree?

To think of His great sacrifice at Calvary!

I know my Lord expects the best from me.

How many are the lost that I have lifted?

How many are the chained I’ve helped to free?

I wonder, have I done my best for Jesus,

When He has done so much for me?

The hours that I have wasted are so many

The hours I’ve spent for Christ so few;

Because of all my lack of love for Jesus,

I wonder if His heart is breaking too.

I wonder have I cared enough for others,

Or have I let them die alone?

I might have helped a wand’rer to the Saviour,

The seed of precious Life I might have sown.

No longer will I stay within the valley

I’ll climb to mountain heights above;

The world is dying now for want of someone

To tell them of the Saviour’s matchless love.

THROW OUT THE LIFE LINE

Throw out the life line across the dark wave;

There is a brother whom someone should save;

Somebody’s brother! O who then will dare

To throw out the life line, his peril to share?

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is drifting away;

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is sinking today.

Throw out the life line with hand quick and strong:

Why do you tarry, why linger so long?

See! he is sinking; oh, hasten today

And out with the life boat! away, then away!

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is drifting away;

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is sinking today.

Throw out the life line to danger fraught men,

Sinking in anguish where you’ve never been;

Winds of temptation and billows of woe

Will soon hurl them out where the dark waters flow.

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is drifting away;

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is sinking today.

Soon will the season of rescue be o’er,

Soon will they drift to eternity’s shore;

Haste, then, my brother, no time for delay,

But throw out the life line and save them today.

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is drifting away;

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is sinking today.

This is the life line, oh, tempest tossed men;

Baffled by waves of temptation and sin;

Wild winds of passion, your strength cannot brave,

But Jesus is mighty, and Jesus can save.

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is drifting away;

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is sinking today.

Jesus is able! To you who are driv’n,

Farther and farther from God and from Heav’n;

Helpless and hopeless, o’erwhelmed by the wave;

We throw out the life line, ’tis “Jesus can save.”

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is drifting away;

Throw out the life line! Throw out the life line!

Someone is sinking today.

This is the life line, oh, grasp it today!

See, you are recklessly drifting away;

Voices in warning, shout over the wave,

O grasp the strong life line, for Jesus can save.

A True Friend

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Monday!!! A True Friend

A True Friend Is One That Will Stand By You Know Matter What And Will Tell You What You Need To Hear Even If You Don't Want To Hear It. Some people will say my friend will never tell my secrets and it is great if you can tell someone all your most private things. However do you have a friend that will warn you if your doing something that is wrong in the eyes of God, sinful, something that could cause great problems? What about the type of friend who is willing to speak up when you are out of line… a friend who is willing to say the hard things, even when you don’t want to hear them! You see a friend like that is a true friend… a friend like that is one who keeps us going in the right direction and keeps us from doing further damage to ourselves and to others. A TRUE friend will tell you when you are wrong, and take the chance on losing us over watching you hurt and drown in sin.

Paul was that type of friend and in 1 Corinthians chapter one he is writing a letter of concern to the church of Cornith whom he cared for. In this first part of this first chapter I can see a man who cared for this church, a man willing to speak the truth in love to ensure that they knew what God expected… I see a true message of love from Paul to the church in Corinth:

I see Paul giving a warm and loving reception in.

I see Paul giving a reassuring ratification of their faith in.

Finally I see Paul giving recommendations that rejected what was happening and laid groundwork for what God wanted.

Paul puts his name to this letter out of love for this group. You know when you are speaking to your friend and you are trying to get a point across to them sometimes you will use the phrase, “Hey, this is ME, you know ME, you know I love you, you know I care about you, you know I would do NOTHING to hurt or harm you… but I have to tell you this…”

This is what we need to do. When we see our friend out of line, doing something they ought not to be doing we need to stand up, and say something. We need to go to them in love, and peace and tell them "this is wrong" "it will cause heartache" please stop turn back now while you can. To be a good friend is more than having good times, it means to be there in rough times, difficult times, willing to sit and cry in tough times, to go to them in times of backslidding and help them turn back. We have to be ready for resistance, and some anger as them times often bring feelings of guilt and friends can lash out. Often times our friends are blinded in them times and are not seeing clearly, and possibly are really not seeing the danger signs.

A friend who will stick by you when things are hard…A friend who will be there for you when all others are against you…A friend who is willing to sacrifice to make your life better…

Do you have a friend like that? I sure do have a friend like that and thank the Lord for her. We can all be a friend like that pray for our friends daily, with them, on our own. Remind them how important they are. Let them know they are loved. Often times if our friends don't feel loved it can cause a downward spiral.

Paul lays it out pretty clear and he tells us that:

You must trust in God’s love and His mercy…

You must know/beleive that God’s grace is greater than your failure

You must understand that God has equipped you for service and you are called to use the gifts God has given you!

You must stop settling for the dividing wall that separates us.

You must stop building a dividing wall between your life and your faith… instead start seeking a unifying path to break down the barriers we build!

LOVE EACH OTHER TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER WE ARE HERE TO GLORIFY THE LORD AND LOVE HIM. WE ARE TO LOVE AND FELLOWSHIP WITH THE BRETHREN.

1Corinthians 1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

1Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

1Corinthians 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

1Corinthians 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

1Corinthians 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

1Corinthians 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1Corinthians 1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1Corinthians 1:11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

1Corinthians 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1Corinthians 1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

1Corinthians 1:14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

1Corinthians 1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

1Corinthians 1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

1Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

1Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs 17:18 A man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of his friend.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

Ecclesiastes 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Ecclesiastes 4:11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

Ecclesiastes 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Love,

Cheryl

O MASTER, LET ME WALK WITH THEE

O Master, let me walk with thee

in lowly paths of service free;

tell me thy secret; help me bear

the strain of toil, the fret of care.

Help me the slow of heart to move

by some clear, winning word of love;

teach me the wayward feet to stay,

and guide them in the homeward way.

Teach me thy patience, still with thee

in closer, dearer company,

in work that keeps faith sweet and strong,

in trust that triumphs over wrong.

In hope that sends a shining ray

far down the future's broadening way,

in peace that only thou canst give,

with thee, O Master, let me live.

LOVE LIFTED ME

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,

Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,

But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry,

From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.

Love lifted me! Love lifted me!

When nothing else could help

Love lifted me!

All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I’ll cling

In His blessèd presence live, ever His praises sing,

Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul’s best songs,

Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs.

Love lifted me! Love lifted me!

When nothing else could help

Love lifted me!

Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves,

He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves.

He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,

He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.

Love lifted me! Love lifted me!

When nothing else could help

Love lifted me!
