Listen For His Voice

Posted by Cheryl on April 22, 2014 at 7:05 PM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning++++++++Have A Wonderful Day+++++++He Is Real; Many Ways, The Lord Reveals Himself To Us, His Children:  I have heard many say "The Lord Never Speaks to me". He does reveal himself, however sometimes we are not listening for him. We don't hear his audible voice, but we hear him in our heart. His "voice" is there we need to listen for him. As we read his word we hear it often. Often after hearing him and knowing "That was My Lord" we are filled with much excitment long after. I had recently experienced a situation where I heard the Lord as i was witnessing to someone, and I smiled, and sang Praises unto him all the way home and after; I mentioned this to a few people and said If a Police Officer had seen me he would have thought for sure I had done some illegal drugs. That would have been a great way to start to witness to him. I could have started with him with "No officer when The Lord God is your Father you don't need street drugs to make you happy". Sometimes the Lord lays on our heart when we need alone time in the word. This happens to me and when it does I am not at peace until I obey and get alone in the word.The Longer we wait to obey this command the more unrest we will feel. Don't tell the Lord "no time Father I got lots to finish I will find time later or tomorrow". He is our Lord, Our Father, our Saviour, Our only TRUE peace and joy. He never tells us "Not now I am too busy, or not now this is my time for ME".

The Lord is very real and present in "our" world. He wants to share Himself with us so we can have and enjoy contentment, courage, and joy from His presence. We must be willing to slow down and listen to what He’s saying. We need to remember we are here for him, and to serve him. Take a few minutes today and look at what you have only because of him. Don't wait till life is falling apart to listen for his voice. He reveals himself through, His word, prayer, fellowship with the brethren, the Pastors messages, during these things pay close attention don't allow your heart and mind to wander to things of the flesh but prepare yourself to listen for our Precious Lord to speak.

Our Lesson: Keep in mind---if we are having problems hearing, it's not his fault; it is our own fault. Perk up the ears, and pay attention to whats important.

Psalm 16:5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

Psalm 16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

Psalm 16:7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Psalm 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Acts 2:25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Acts 2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

2Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Matthew 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Matthew 7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Psalm 46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

Psalm 46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

Psalm 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Psalm 46:6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

Psalm 46:7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Psalm 46:8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

Psalm 46:9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalm 46:11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

LITTLE IS MUCH WHEN GOD IS IN IT

In the harvest field now ripened

There’s a work for all to do;

Hark! the voice of God is calling

To the harvest calling you.

Little is much when God is in it!

Labor not for wealth or fame.

There’s a crown—and you can win it,

If you go in Jesus’ Name.

IN the mad rush of the broad way,

In the hurry and the strife,

Tell of Jesus’ love and mercy,

Give to them the Word of Life.

Does the place you’re called to labor

Seem too small and little known?

It is great if God is in it,

And He’ll not forget His own.

Are you laid aside from service,

Body worn from toil and care?

You can still be in the battle,

In the sacred place of prayer.

When the conflict here is ended

And our race on earth is run,

He will say, if we are faithful,

“Welcome home, My child—well done!”

HARK TEN THOUSAND ARE CALLING

Hark! ten thousand voices crying,

“Lamb of God!” with one accord;

Thousand thousand saints replying,

Wake at once the echo’ng chord.

“Praise the Lamb!” the chorus waking,

All in heav’n together throng;

Loud and far each tongue partaking

Rolls around the endless song.

Grateful incense this, ascending

Ever to the Father’s throne;

Every knee to Jesus bending,

All the mind in heav’n is one.

All the Father’s counsels claiming

Equal honors to the Son,

All the Son’s effulgence beaming,

Makes the Father’s glory known.

By the Spirit all pervading,

Hosts unnumbered round the Lamb,

Crowned with light and joy unfading,

Hail Him as the great “I AM.”

Joyful now the new creation

Rests in undisturbed repose,

Blest in Jesus’ full salvation,

Sorrow now nor thraldom knows.

Hark! the heavenly notes again!

Loudly swells the song of praise;

Through creation’s vault, Amen!

Amen! responsive joy doth raise.

SERVICE WITH A SMILE

Good Morning+++++++Have A Wonderful Day++++++Serve With Gladness; Do You Grumble when Serving the Lord or do You Have Joy?  I am not a musician but when an instrument is out of tune I can tell. An out of tune instrument is not enjoyable at all to listen too. Sometimes when we the Lord's children are serving him we sound like an out of tune piano. We sound sour, like we have respiratory infection. Just as a piano out of tune the longer we are out of tune the longer it takes to get that right sound back. Just like we wouldn't want to go to a concert where all the instruments are out of tune, nobody is going to want to hear what we have to say about the Lord if we need a "Tune Up". If you know someone who is miserable, moody, sour all the time how often do we go out of our way to sit and talk with them? Usually we do what we can to avoid them. Worse than this how do you soppose our Lord feels when we get up and our first attitude is "Lord I will serve you with a smile today but I am not feeling it". The other question is what does the Lord think of the Christian who walks around thinking "I have to give because the Lord said so" or "I have to be a good example because the Lord says so".

We need to WANT to serve the Lord daily, regardless of illness, situation, happy/ sad mood. When we are serving our Precious Lord we need to let people see its not a job, a chore, a burden. We need to do it willing, joyful, and in tune. There are some times things make it tough in life, but this shouldn't be the norm. Keep in mind in many cases you will be the only Bible the lost will see, read, enjoy, and its important for you to be in tune, ready, knowing how to respond as your being watched by the lost world it may be lost family, friends, neighbors. Why would a lost individual want a life that's out of tune and sour?

Our Lesson: It's our job to show the true Jesus and I thank him that when i go before him he doesn't respond, "Not today Cheryl, I am not feeling it." What can you do to tune up yourself for your daily walk and witness?

Psalm 119:52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.

Psalm 119:53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

Psalm 119:54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

Psalm 119:55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.

Psalm 119:56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

Psalm 119:57 CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

Psalm 119:58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

Psalm 119:59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Romans 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

Romans 1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

Romans 1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

2Corinthians 8:3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

2Corinthians 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

2Corinthians 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

2Corinthians 8:6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

2Corinthians 8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

2Corinthians 8:8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

2Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

1Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

1Peter 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

1Peter 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1Peter 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

1Peter 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

1Peter 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Love,

OH JESUS I HAVE PROMISED

O Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end;

be thou forever near me, my Master and my friend.

I shall not fear the battle if thou art by my side,

nor wander from the pathway if thou wilt be my guide.

O let me feel thee near me! The world is ever near;

I see the sights that dazzle, the tempting sounds I hear;

my foes are ever near me, around me and within; but Jesus,

draw thou nearer, and shield my soul from sin.

O let me hear thee speaking in accents clear and still,

above the storms of passion, the murmurs of self-will.

O speak to reassure me, to hasten or control;

O speak, and make me listen, thou guardian of my soul.

O Jesus, thou hast promised to all who follow thee that

where thou art in glory there shall thy servant be.

And Jesus, I have promised to serve thee to the end;

O give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend.

TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.

Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.

Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.

Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.

Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.

Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.

Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.

Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

Happy Resurrection Sunday

Good Morning****** H A P P Y   R E S U R R E C T I O N             S U N D A Y******Praise You Lord Jesus! He Has Risen:  This Truth Can't Be Repeated enough!!! All we have is on account of the Lord's love, grace, and mercy. Heaven is only through Jesus; It's a Free Gift made possible by Jesus and his precious Blood spilled at Calvary. NOT Baptism, Not Giving Up Meat For Lent and Fridays, Not What Denomination of Church you belong too, Not Blessing of Easter Baskets (this is pagan), NOT about the Pope, the Priest, The money Given to ANY Church !!! Life is about The Lord, NOT us!!! Celebrate Jesus Today, And Everyday, and Him Alone............................

Living, He loved me

Dying, He saved me

Buried, He carried my sins far away

Rising, He justified freely forever

One day He's coming

Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

Matthew 28:3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

Matthew 28:4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

Matthew 28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Matthew 28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Matthew 28:8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

Matthew 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

Matthew 28:10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Matthew 28:11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

Matthew 28:12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

Matthew 28:13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

Matthew 28:14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

Matthew 28:15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

1Corinthians 15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

1Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1Corinthians 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

1Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

1Corinthians 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

1Corinthians 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

1Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1Corinthians 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

1Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

1Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

1Corinthians 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

1Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

1Corinthians 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

1Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

1Corinthians 15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

1Corinthians 15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

1Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

1Corinthians 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

1Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

1Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Love,

Cheryl

"Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)"

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises

One day when sin was as black as could be

Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin

Dwelt among men, my example is He

Word became flesh and the light shined among us

His glory revealed

Living, He loved me

Dying, He saved me

Buried, He carried my sins far away

Rising, He justified freely forever

One day He's coming

Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain

One day they nailed Him to die on a tree

Suffering anguish, despised and rejected

Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He

Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree

And took the nails for me

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer

One day the stone rolled away from the door

Then He arose, over death He had conquered

Now He's ascended, my Lord evermore

Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him

From rising again

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming

One day the skies with His glories will shine

Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing

My Savior, Jesus, is mine

Glorious day, Oh, Glorious day

promise & prayer

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Saturday~~~A Precious Promise & Prayer:

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

The Lord has given us so many promises and they are all so very precious. Some of my favorites are of him protecting us, and getting us through each circumstance. Some that amaze me are the ones he talks of blessing us. He who has done so much more for us than any of us deserve tells us in Revelation 1, if we read and hear his words he will bless us. He is telling us if we do something that we should want to do, something we are commanded to do, something that is helping us he is going to bless us. When we think of this we are being blessed for doing something that should just blesses us to do. He who gave his life for us to pay the debt of our sin we should be so grateful that he on top of suffering, and dying for the payment of our sin wants to bless us even more. What is the best way to SHOW him love and thankfulness?

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Rev 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 1:4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Psalm 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Psalm 1:6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Psalm 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Psalm 32:2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER

We see in Matthew 8 Peter is in his house with his Mother-in-law who is very sick. Jesus hearing the prayers and knowing the need comes to the Home of Peter. Jesus touches the woman's hand (she who is very sick), the fever left her and she immediatly rose and ministered unto them. We see when jesus takes care of things they are done perfectly. How many of us can after an awful sickness get up immediatly and get back to work, ministering to others? It takes us days maybe longer sometimes to recoup.

Mat 8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

Mat 8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

HE LIVES

I serve a risen Savior, Hes in the world today;

I know that He is living, whatever men may say;

I see His hand of mercy,

I hear His voice of cheer,

And just the time I need Him, Hes always near.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!

He walks with me and talks with me

A-long lifes narrow way.

He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!

You ask me how I know He lives?

He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me I see His loving care,

And tho my heart grows weary, I never will despair;

I know that He is leading thro all the stormy blast,

The day of His appearing will come at last.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!

He walks with me and talks with me

A-long lifes narrow way.

He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!

You ask me how I know He lives?

He lives within my heart.

Rejoice, Rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing

Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!

The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,

None other is so living, so good and kind.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!

He walks with me and talks with me

A-long lifes narrow way.

He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!

You ask me how I know He lives?

He lives within my heart.

GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD

God loved the world of sinners lost,

And ruined by the fall;

Salvation full, at highest cost,

He offers free to all.

Refrain

O ’twas love, ’twas wondrous love,

The love of God to me;

It brought my Savior from above,

To die on Calvary!

E’en now by faith I claim Him mine,

The risen Son of God;

Redemption by His death I find,

And cleansing through the blood.

Love brings the glorious fullness in,

And to His saints makes known

The blessèd rest from inbred sin,

Through faith in Christ alone.

Believing souls, rejoicing go;

There shall to you be giv’n

A glorious foretaste, here below,

Of endless life in Heav’n.

Of victory now o’er Satan’s power

Let all the ransomed sing,

And triumph in the dying hour

Through Christ, the Lord, our King.

Good Morning!!! Have A Wonderful Day!!! Jesus Died For All; DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION---THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE CELEBRATED:  What does Resurrection Sunday mean to you? God the Father sent his only begotten Son born of a virgin humbling himself as a infant, toddler, small boy. He by age twelve was about the Fathers business. He walked this sin-cursed world being 100% God 100%man. He healed, comforted, taught, threw devils out of the possessed. Gave sight to the blind, words to the dumb, sounds to the deaf, tempted by Satan but never fell. Then one day betrayed by his own. He was taken by the guards, beaten, spit upon, mocked, beard plucked from his face. Nailed to the cross.As he hung on the cross he asked the Father to forgive those responsible, he comforted the thief next to him. Jesus suffered and died, a great blackness fell over the earth, a great earthquake, and he carried the sins of the world my sin, your sin into the pits of hell. He rose again three days later.

Living, He loved me

Dying, He saved me

Buried, He carried my sins far away

Rising, He justified freely forever

One day He's coming

Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

Our Lesson: How will you celebrate on Sunday? Resurrection Sunday? For you, is it about the Chocolate, Cadbury Eggs, Peeps,or the New Dress? Or will it be about Him who loved us so much, he suffered and died a horrendous death for all, making the payment for all our sin?

Matthew 27:1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

Matthew 27:2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Matthew 27:6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

Matthew 27:7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

Matthew 27:8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Matthew 27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

Matthew 27:10 And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

Matthew 27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Matthew 27:12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

Matthew 27:13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

Matthew 27:14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

Matthew 27:15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

Matthew 27:16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

Matthew 27:17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

Matthew 27:18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

Matthew 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Matthew 27:20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Matthew 27:21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Matthew 27:22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Matthew 27:23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Matthew 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Matthew 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Matthew 27:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

Matthew 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

Matthew 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Matthew 27:30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

Matthew 27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Matthew 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

Matthew 27:33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

Matthew 27:34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

Matthew 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Matthew 27:36 And sitting down they watched him there;

Matthew 27:37 And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Matthew 27:38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Matthew 27:39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

Matthew 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Matthew 27:41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

Matthew 27:42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

Matthew 27:43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Matthew 27:44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Matthew 27:47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

Matthew 27:48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

Matthew 27:49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Matthew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Matthew 27:55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

Matthew 27:56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

Matthew 27:57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

Matthew 27:58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

Matthew 27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

Matthew 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

Matthew 27:61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

Matthew 27:62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

Matthew 27:63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

Matthew 27:64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

Matthew 27:65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

Matthew 27:66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Amen.

OH GLORIOUS DAY

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises

One day when sin was as black as could be

Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin

Dwelt among men, my example is He

Word became flesh and the light shined among us

His glory revealed

Living, He loved me

Dying, He saved me

Buried, He carried my sins far away

Rising, He justified freely forever

One day He's coming

Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain

One day they nailed Him to die on a tree

Suffering anguish, despised and rejected

Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He

Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree

And took the nails for me

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer

One day the stone rolled away from the door

Then He arose, over death He had conquered

Now He's ascended, my Lord evermore

Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him

From rising again

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming

One day the skies with His glories will shine

Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing

My Savior, Jesus, is mine

Glorious day, Oh, Glorious day

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

The emblem of suffering and shame;

And I love that old cross where the dearest and best

For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

Has a wondrous attraction for me;

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above

To bear it to dark Calvary.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

A wondrous beauty I see,

For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,

To pardon and sanctify me.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;

Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,

Where His glory forever I’ll share.

I WILL SING THE WONDROUS STORY

I will sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me.

How He left His home in glory

For the cross of Calvary.

Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story

Of the Christ Who died for me,

Sing it with the saints in glory,

Gathered by the crystal sea.

I was lost, but Jesus found me,

Found the sheep that went astray,

Threw His loving arms around me,

Drew me back into His way.

I was bruised, but Jesus healed me,

Faint was I from many a fall,

Sight was gone, and fears possessed me,

But He freed me from them all.

Days of darkness still come o’er me,

Sorrow’s path I often tread,

But His presence still is with me;

By His guiding hand I’m led.

He will keep me till the river

Rolls its waters at my feet;

Then He’ll bear me safely over,

Where the loved ones I shall meet.

Resurrection Sunday NOT Easter

Posted by Cheryl on April 17, 2014 at 8:40 AM Comments comments (0)

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Day~~~The Resurrection; Death, Burial, And The Resurrection:  Keep in mind what is truly in the Bible and what has become tradition. Often traditions have been started by the father of lies Satan himself. So often we celebrate things and have no idea where it began or truth behind it. For instance Easter the true meaning of the word and celebration of easter is; The name “Easter” has its roots in ancient polytheistic religions (paganism). On this, all scholars agree. This name is never used in the original Scriptures, nor is it ever associated biblically with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For these reasons, I prefer to use the term “Resurrection Sunday” rather than “Easter” when referring to the annual Christian remembrance of Christ's Resurrection.

The celebration of Easter brings together many various ancient traditions and associations between those of Christian faith and the otherwise unrelated origins in pagan religions. The festival is essentially a convergence of several very old pagan and Christian customs, as well as some from Hebrew origin. Easter takes its name from Ishtar, the Babylonian and Assyrian goddess of love and fertility. The Phoenicians also knew her as Astarte, a sister and consort of Baal, a god worshipped in many parts of the eastern world. Some of the ancient Hebrews also worshipped Baal.

These ancient traditions gradually spread throughout Europe, and ‘Eostre’ (with variations in spelling) became the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, emphasizing fertility and the rising sun. The month of April was dedicated to her, and the Old English word for Easter was ‘Eastre’ which refers to Eostre. The festival of Eostre was celebrated at the vernal equinox, when day and night receive an equal share of light and darkness.

During the early Middle Ages, Christian missionaries seeking to convert the barbaric tribes of northern Europe realized that the time of Jesus’ death and resurrection also coincided with the Teutonic springtime celebrations. The Teutonic goddess of fertility was known as ‘Ostare,’ whose name was derived from the ancient word for spring. As the days of approaching spring grew longer, celebrations that coincided with the spring equinox emphasized the end of winter and a rebirth of nature. It was seen as the triumph of life over death. The Christian missionaries taught that it also pointed to the resurrection of Jesus.

Colored eggs have been used since ancient times as a symbol of Easter, and are associated with the arrival of spring. Eggs symbolize birth, fertility, and a new life in many cultures. Eggs were used by the ancient Egyptians and Persians who colored them and gave them as gifts during their springtime festivals.

Later, during the Middle Ages, Europeans collected eggs of different colors that were taken from the nests of various birds, and used as charms to avert evil and to otherwise bring good fortune. This originally involved searching through the woods for the eggs, and this custom gradually evolved into the Easter egg hunt. The painting of eggs eventually became more popular and in time replaced the search for wild bird eggs. These colorful eggs were later hidden and children as well as others would search for them. Eggs were painted in bright colors to resemble the sun, the arrival of spring and fertility. Easter baskets, in which the eggs were collected, were intended to resemble bird’s nests.

One of the most elaborate Easter egg traditions appears to have originated in eastern Europe. Long ago Polish and Ukrainian people celebrated the arrival of spring, and the resurrection day, by decorating their eggs with many traditional symbols for Easter, many of them with religious representations. This custom was called ‘Pysanky’ [meaning to write or design], when eggs were meticulously painted with elaborate decorations featuring countless and intricate designs. They were created by carefully applying wax in various patterns to an egg. The egg was then dyed, wax would be reapplied to preserve the color, and the egg was boiled which resulted in a variety of multicolored, striped, or patterned eggs. Popular decorations may be found in many different regions of Poland and Ukraine with geometric patterns, or floral designs, that are specific to the particular community. This custom is still popular in these eastern regions of Europe.

Rabbits (hares) have also served as fertility symbols in some ancient cultures.

Legends from ancient Egypt connected the rabbit with the moon because of their nocturnal feeding habits. This association with the moon is also thought to have originated with those who watched the cycles of the moon to determine the precise date of the approaching change of season, and the accompanying celebration. This event took place on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.

It appears that hares have been used as symbols for a very long time. The first documented use of their being used for the Easter festival took place in Germany during the 1500’s. This custom later evolved into edible Easter bunnies that were especially prepared with pastry and sugar. These traditions apparently made their way to America during the 1700’s by the Pennsylvania Dutch who had immigrated from Germany. During the years following the American Civil War, handcrafted chocolate Easter eggs and rabbits became increasingly popular.

The Flood was a divine judgement sent on mankind after evil had become all pervasive, and all people everywhere were totally unresponsive to the Lord. The Bible says that “the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”. It is not difficult to imagine that life must have been almost unbearable at this time in history (Just as today). The Lord gave man a second chance by preserving the righteous man Noah, and his family.

After the flood, Noah had a talented, but evil, great-grandson named Nimrod who rebelled greatly against the Lord. The Bible says that he was “a mighty one” Jewish tradition indicates that Nimrod was a tyrant “who made all of the people rebellious against the Lord.” It is evident from history that Nimrod was not only a political leader, but also the lead priest of a form of occultic worship.

Nimrod built and organized major cities. The Bible notes that these included Babel, Asshur, Ninevah and Calah. If you know anything about ancient history, the mention of these places may send shivers up your spine. For these were cities of great, almost unimaginable practices and perversion.

When Nimrod eventually died, the Babylonian religion in which he figured prominently continued on. His wife/queen saw to that. Once he was dead, she deified him as the Sun-god. In various cultures he later became known as Baal, the Great Life Giver, the god of fire, Balimm, Bel, Molech, etc.

“Later, when this adulterous,and idoultrous woman gave birth to an illegitimate son, she claimed that this son, Tammuz by name, was Nimrod reborn.”Easter/Ishatar “claimed that her son was supernaturally conceived [no human father] and that he was the promised seed, the ‘savior’”—promised by God in Genesis. “However, not only was the child worshipped, but the woman, the MOTHER, was also worshipped as much (or more) than the son!” Nimrod deified as the god of the sun and father of creation. Easter became the goddess of the moon, fertility, etc.

“In the old fables of the Mystery cults, their ‘savior’ Tammuz, was worshipped with various rites at the Spring season. According to the legends, after he was slain [killed by a wild boar], he went into the underworld. But through the weeping of his mother… he mystically revived in the springing forth of the vegetation—in Spring! Each year a spring festival dramatically represented this supposed ‘resurrection’ from the underworld.”

Thus, a terrible false religion developed with its sun and moon worship, false priests called Easter. This is why we need to call it Resurrection Sunday and celebrate Jesus. Even if we don't celebrate it for them reasons how do you soppose Our Precious Lord and Saviour Jesus and the Precious Heavenly Father feels about it.

When celebrating tradition its good to seek the origin. To celebrate the Death, burial, resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ is wonderful. This is the important reason for celebration. Jesus born of a virgin specifically to walk this earth healing, teaching, comforting, then to be taken to the cross. Taken in a cruel, way, beaten, his beard plucked from his face, spit upon, mocked, nailed to that cross suffering and spilling his precious blood for our sins. He rose again (Resurrection Sunday) three days after taking the sins of the world into the pits of hell. Went back to heaven where he is now till his appearing in the clouds to take us home. Keep in mind this and only this is our way to enter into Heaven through his precious blood. Keep in mind all our Lord has done, still does, and will continue to do what will you celebrate?

CROWN HIM WITH MANY CROWNS

Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne, Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own. Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee, and hail him as thy matchless King through all eternity.

Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed o'er the grave, and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save. His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high, who died, eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.

Crown him the Lord of peace, whose power a scepter sways from pole to pole, that wars may cease, and all be prayer and praise. His reign shall know no end, and round his pierced feet fair flowers of paradise extend their fragrance ever sweet.

Crown him the Lord of love; behold his hands and side, those wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified. All hail, Redeemer, hail! For thou hast died for me; thy praise and glory shall not fail throughout eternity.

THE DAY OF RESURRECTION

The day of resurrection! Earth, tell it out abroad; the passover of gladness, the passover of God. From death to life eternal, from earth unto the sky, our Christ hath brought us over, with hymns of victory.

Our hearts be pure from evil, that we may see aright the Lord in rays eternal of resurrection light; and listening to his accents, may hear, so calm and plain, his own "All hail!" and, hearing, may raise the victor strain.

Now let the heavens be joyful! Let earth the song begin! Let the round world keep triumph, and all that is therein! Let all things seen and unseen their notes in gladness blend, for Christ the Lord hath risen, our joy that hath no end.

CHRIST AROSE

Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior, waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes;

he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.

He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior, vainly they seal the dead,

Jesus my Lord! Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior; he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Good Morning***Have A Wonderful Day***Helpless; Feeling Completely Helpless:  In 2Chronicles we se where King Jehoshaphat faced a time of complete fear knowing of the great multitude coming against him; from beyond the sea. He feared this happening. However before he allowed time for fear to take hold of him, he proclaimed a great feast through out Judah, and asked help from the Lord. Jehoshaphat was a good king who was confronted with a dangerous situation. Three different armies had joined together to destroy Israel, he could have panicked in fear but chose to go to the Lord and seek his help.Scripture doesn't say "He ran away crying" scripture doesn't say "he ran blindly ran headstrong into battle". The king knew this was not the time to give up, nor was it the time to take action motivated by fear. Instead, he did the only wise thing he could: he prayed. More than that, he called on others to pray. And suddenly, the entire situation changed, because the Lord had been brought into a hopeless situation.

Have you ever felt totally helpless? Can you remember facing a situation or emergency in which you were powerless? It’s a sobering experience for anyone.I know when my parents were very sick it was so difficult because I didn't know what to do and realized I couldn't do anything but sit and wait. Even people who claim to be wholly dependent on the Lord, still like to feel as if they have to some control over their circumstances.

When we feel helpless, the first word out of our mouth should be “Father.” From then on, helplessness isn’t an issue, because the Lord will provide what we need. We need to realize sometimes these things are allowed to be to teach us total dependence on the Lord. Total trust on our heavenly Father.

Our Lesson: How often do we pray? But instead of leaving matters in the Lord's hands, we change our mind over and over again. We have to stop and leave it up to the Lord how it needs to be handled and not question him.

2Chronicles 20:1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

2Chronicles 20:2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

2Chronicles 20:3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

2Chronicles 20:4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

2Chronicles 20:5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

2Chronicles 20:6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

2Chronicles 20:7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

2Chronicles 20:8 And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

2Chronicles 20:9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

Psalm 31:1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Psalm 31:2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

Psalm 31:3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Psalm 31:4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

Psalm 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Psalm 31:6 I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

Psalm 31:7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

Psalm 31:8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

Psalm 31:9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

Psalm 37:2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Psalm 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

TRUST AND OBEY

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,

What a glory He sheds on our way!

While we do His good will, He abides with us still,

And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way

To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,

But His smile quickly drives it away;

Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,

Can abide while we trust and obey.

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,

But our toil He doth richly repay;

Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,

But is blessed if we trust and obey.

But we never can prove the delights of His love

Until all on the altar we lay;

For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,

Are for them who will trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet.

Or we’ll walk by His side in the way.

What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;

Never fear, only trust and obey.

NEAR THE CROSS

Jesus, keep me near the cross,

There a precious fountain—

Free to all, a healing stream—

Flows from Calv’ry’s mountain.

NEAR the cross, in the cross,

Be my glory ever;

Till my raptured soul shall find

Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,

Love and Mercy found me;

There the bright and morning star

Sheds its beams around me. Near the cross! O Lamb of God,

Bring its scenes before me;

Help me walk from day to day,

With its shadows o’er me. Near the cross I’ll watch and wait

Hoping, trusting ever,

Till I reach the golden strand,

Just beyond the river.

Seek Him Early

Good Morning****Have A Wonderful Day****Start On Right Note; The Way To A Day Of Champions:  All of us have heard "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." This is very true, how many of us if we get up have strong coffee with a couple donuts have the get up and go right after breakfast? If we get up and grab a can of cola and run out the door how long before we have no energy? Just as important (and even more important) is how we start our day in the Lord. Do we make time first thing in the morning for the Lord? Do we figure "I have more time in the evening for you Lord" or pray while we brush our teeth, MAYBE read a Psalm and out the door and time for "My world, My Day". This honestly is just as dangerous for our health as having that can of cola and running out. The fuel we give our bodies and minds first thing in the morning is a very important and vital part of how we survive each day.If we go through a whole day into evening without seeking the Lord we have no right to complain of the awful days we have. We need to realize and get it into our mind and heart, quality time with the Lord first thing in the morning, is as a good healthy breakfast is important for our bodies. One being for our body, the other is spiritual nourishment for our soul, and walk with our Precious Lord.

We see in Psalm 63, David begins his day with the LORD. In Psalm 63, he describes seeking the Lord early, he woke up ravenous for his LORD, and after filling his yearning soul with the fullness of his Heavenly Father, he broke out in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. Even when night came, he was still thinking about his heavenly Father as he lay in bed.

Just imagine having a day like that filled with joy and gratitude to our Lord. This is possible when we set apart the beginning of our day to spend with the Lord, listening to Him speak through His Word and talking to Him in prayer. Our blessing will be even richer when we stay mindful of God throughout the day and into the night—contemplating who He is and how He works. Seeking the Lord not only fills our empty souls; it also increases our hunger for more of Him.

Just filling our bodies does nothing for our Spirit. To starve ourselves of things of the Lord is spiritual suicide. If you struggle with this get up a few minutes early if need be get dressed first. However try fifteen minutes each morning with the Lord, praise, prayer, purpose, and reading. Start with baby steps it won't take long before this starts to become a healthy habit, and one you will miss if you stop doing.

Our Lesson: I see nowhere in the Bible where the Lord says: "Hey I have no time for you today;"or "you're not going to fit into my schedule today my child".

Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Psalm 63:2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Psalm 63:3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Psalm 63:4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Psalm 63:5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

Psalm 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Psalm 63:7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Psalm 63:8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

RISE UP O MEN OF GOD

Rise up, O men of God!

Have done with lesser things.

Give heart and mind and soul and strength

To serve the King of kings.

Rise up, O men of God!

The kingdom tarries long.

Bring in the day of brotherhood

And end the night of wrong.

Rise up, O men of God!

The church for you doth wait,

Her strength unequal to her task;

Rise up and make her great!

Lift high the cross of Christ!

Tread where His feet have trod.

As brothers of the Son of Man,

Rise up, O men of God!

YE CHRISTIANS HEARALDS GO PROCLAIM

Ye Christian heralds, go, proclaim

Salvation in Immanuel's name;

To distant climes the tidings bear,

And plant the Rose of Sharon there.

He'll shield you with a wall of fire,

With holy zeal your hearts inspire,

Bid raging winds their fury cease,

And calm the savage breast to peace.

And when our labors are all o'er,

Then shall we meet to part no more—

Meet, with the blood-bought throng to fall,

And crown the Savior Lord of all.

Shun Evil

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Day~~~Please The Lord; Just Say No Because You Love Him:  We do many things out of fear. We don't do many things out of fear. We pay the rent/mortgage out of fear of losing our home. We lock our doors out of fear of being robbed. We don't drink and drive out of fear of arrest, and hurting others, we avoid drugs out of fear of death. Some people have a picture of the Lord that if we murder, commit adultry, stealing, the Lord will strike us dead. We convince ourselves in some cases if we sin the Lord is there holding a lightning rod ready to strike. Although he could take our life instantly he rarely does this. The Bible does teach us of Job who feared the Lord, and shunned evil not that he would be struck dead but out of respect, and reverence for God's Holy Character, and awesome power. Job's fear was a healthy fear not only of sins painful consequences but of not willing to hurt the Lord he loves.

What are your reasons to shun evil? What are your reasons to not sin? In our marriages why do we not commit adultry? Is it to avoid embarrassment, being struck by lightning? Or is our reason not to hurt our spouse? What is our reason not to steal from others? Is it to avoid being struck dead or to avoid hurting others, and our Precious Lord. Granted it is good to have a bit of fear of consequences of evil. However why not avoid sin, and shun evil just because our Precious Lord he who loves us more than anyone ever could, tells us not to sin, and to avoid things of evil, and darkness. Why would we willingly jump into sin, or slowly fall into sin when we know what our Heavenly Father tells us about sin. Why would we spit in the face of our Lord by saying "well this tiny little sin will hurt no one". Worse yet why would we say "I am saved, and the Lord knows I am still in the flesh so what happens, happens".

Our Lesson: How do you choose to live? For him or against him. Shun evil and sin just to please the Father. Shun evil and sin because our Precious Saviour died for all of our sins, just for us.

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Psalm 101:1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

Psalm 101:2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

Psalm 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

Psalm 101:4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

Psalm 101:5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Psalm 101:6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

Psalm 101:7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

Psalm 101:8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

Psalm 119:101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

Psalm 119:102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalm 119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way

Proverbs 8:7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

Proverbs 8:8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

Proverbs 8:9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

Proverbs 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Proverbs 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

2Peter 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

2Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

1Corinthians 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

1Corinthians 8:2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

1Corinthians 8:3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

CLEANSE ME

Search me, O God,

And know my heart today;

Try me, O Savior,

Know my thoughts, I pray.

See if there be

Some wicked way in me;

Cleanse me from every sin

And set me free.

I praise Thee, Lord,

For cleansing me from sin;

Fulfill Thy Word,

And make me pure within.

Fill me with fire

Where once I burned with shame;

Grant my desire

To magnify Thy Name.

Lord, take my life,

And make it wholly Thine;

Fill my poor heart

With Thy great love divine.

Take all my will,

My passion, self and pride;

I now surrender, Lord

In me abide.

O Holy Ghost,

Revival comes from Thee;

Send a revival,

Start the work in me.

Thy Word declares

Thou wilt supply our need;

For blessings now,

O Lord, I humbly plead.

REVIVE US AGAIN

We praise Thee, O God!

For the Son of Thy love,

For Jesus Who died,

And is now gone above.

Hallelujah! Thine the glory.

Hallelujah! Amen.

Hallelujah! Thine the glory.

Revive us again.

We praise Thee, O God!

For Thy Spirit of light,

Who hath shown us our Savior,

And scattered our night. All glory and praise

To the Lamb that was slain,

Who hath borne all our sins,

And hath cleansed every stain. All glory and praise

To the God of all grace,

Who hast brought us, and sought us,

And guided our ways. Revive us again;

Fill each heart with Thy love;

May each soul be rekindled

With fire from above.

Precious Promise & Prayer

Good Morning~~~Have A Wonderful Sunday~~~A Precious Promise:

A PRECIOUS PROMISE

Why did Jesus come here to this sin-cursed world? I have had people say many wrong things. I have heard to make life tough. To take away our fun. Some have even said why didn't God just leave us alone we were fine. REALLY we have all been fine here? Always been war, murder, adultry, destruction of the innocent, and weaker. Ben we have been fine. How foolish our we as people, flesh, born into sin. Due to the fall in the garden we have needed a Saviour. Jesus came here to save, not destroy. We destroy, those living for the enemy Satan have destroyed, the prideful destroy. If not for Jesus and his death on the cross we would all be destroyed for all eternity and suffering hell fire with no relief never but for all eternity. In the word we see the promise Jesus came to save and save is exactly what he does. How are we thanking him? What are we living for? Who are we pleasing daily?

Luke 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

Luke 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Matthew 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

PRECIOUS PRAYER

Our Lord talks often of prayer in his word. So often we forsake prayer like its just a game or option. We wait till life is falling apart then go unto our Lord. Prayer is not just a vital part of a Christians life it is a priviledge, a honor, and our communication with our Heavenly Father. Prayer is how we need to start our day, and end our day, and to do throughout our day. Don't wait till life is giving nothing but lemons to call upon the Lord. Don't wait till a prayer request comes in to call upon the Father. Don't make pray about you go unto the Lord and just talk, give thanks, and say I love you my precious heavenly Father. Another point NEVER tell someone I will pray for you if have no intention to do so. Please keep the lines of communication open with the Father daily.

Psalm 5:1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

Psalm 5:2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

Psalm 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 17:1 Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

Psalm 17:2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.

1Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore.

1Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

1Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

That calls me from a world of care,

And bids me at my Father’s throne

Make all my wants and wishes known.

In seasons of distress and grief,

My soul has often found relief

And oft escaped the tempter’s snare

By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

The joys I feel, the bliss I share,

Of those whose anxious spirits burn

With strong desires for thy return!

With such I hasten to the place

Where God my Savior shows His face,

And gladly take my station there,

And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

Thy wings shall my petition bear

To Him whose truth and faithfulness

Engage the waiting soul to bless.

And since He bids me seek His face,

Believe His Word and trust His grace,

I’ll cast on Him my every care,

And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

May I thy consolation share,

Till, from Mount Pisgah’s lofty height,

I view my home and take my flight:

This robe of flesh I’ll drop and rise

To seize the everlasting prize;

And shout, while passing through the air,

“Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer!”

IN THE GARDEN

I come to the garden alone

While the dew is still on the roses

And the voice I hear falling on my ear

The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own;

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,

Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,

And the melody that He gave to me

Within my heart is ringing.

I’d stay in the garden with Him

Though the night around me be falling,

But He bids me go; through the voice of woe

His voice to me is calling.
